After the golden vortex took him away, all Kian could do was close his eyes as he tried to endure the soul sucking force. However, this irresistible force didn't stay for too long. Soon, everything turned calm.

A gust of wind blew and brushed past his face. Kian determined that it was already fine to open is his eyes. As he did so, a sight that was the total opposite of the temple in the skies greeted him.

"Where the hell is this?" he blurted out of instinct.

Around him, numerous towering trees stood. They all had one thing in common, they were withered and black. However, they still had a few leaves but they were also black in color. Above him was a large red sun that floated on the bright purple sky.

It absolutely wasn't an unsightly place. In fact, Kian thought that it was beautiful. However, it also somewhat gave him the chills.

"What a creepy place. As expected of the territory of the Gloom Faction." Kian calmed himself down from the nervousness that tried to grip his heart by crossing his arms.

When he did so, he noticed that his previous transmission gear was gone. In its place was a tight fitting short robes, jeans and a pistol on his waist. They all had the same thing in common, black.

Kian thought he was quite lucky this was just a beginner's equipment. If this was on Earth, the strange combination of robes and jeans as well as a gun would likely make people label him as a weirdo.

After feeling a bit more comfortable, he decided to walk straight ahead. However, a few minutes had passed yet there was still no sight of any settlement.

"There's not even a guide here?" he sighed and was about to turn to a different direction when an old, dilapidated signpost caught his eyes. It was arrow shaped and was pointed to the west.

"Gloomy Village Ahead!" The words written on the sign post.

Suddenly, a screen appeared and hovered a few centimeters away from him.

"Finally, a map!" Kian was overjoyed and without a second thought, he immediately chose yes.

A map then appeared. According to the information, he was on a place called Corrupted Forest. There were a lot of beginner villages ahead and no matter what direction he took, there would always be a beginner village waiting for him. It's just that the Gloomy Village was the closest one.

However, he soon came to learn about one thing. To enter any village, a player had to pass a small trial of fire. It was to hunt and kill a monster of any level.

Kian felt it was a bit harsh towards the players especially towards those who were new to games. He wondered if this was especially restricted towards the Gloom Faction or also towards the Radiant Faction.

There were no monsters on sight so he tried to enter a bit deeper into the forest.

After a few minutes of walking, something finally appeared. It was a three feet tall white rabbit. However, it had glistening red eyes and sharp fangs. It suddenly apepared from the bushes and blocked his way which greatly startled startled him.

"Woah!" Kian jumped away and took a few steps backwards out of instinct.

He quickly assessed the rabbit.
