Boreas City, the sun was on the verge of touching the horizon. Orange tinted the skies as the sun was preparing to play hide and seek with the moon once again. The wind that mixed with the heat was refreshing to the skin.

Outside Boreas Tower were thousands of players lined up into a one huge army. The frontlines were lead by the players from the top ten guilds who stood like a properly like professional soldiers in a battlefield. They were donned in their guild uniforms and proudly looked at all the smaller guilds and rogue players.

The smaller guilds were still quite okay with their formations but the players who had no guild at all were scattered like headless flies.

Kian and the gang decided to wait at the second floor of a restaurant so they didn't have to stick together with the other players.

As he rested his left arm on the railings, Kian took a sip of the berry milk drink in a cartoon on his right hand. Doing so refreshed his mind and took away the anxiety for battle. Alexa on the other hand was glaring daggers at the milk drink, wondering how such a drink was able to become a better source of comfort than her.

Seeing Kian so relaxed exasperated Keiko. She approached Kian with a worried expression.

"Are you really sure you want to fight in his battlefield? It's fully certain that this army is going to lose. Not only will there be lots of monsters but the Excelcis race would also appear." She tried to dissuade the guy.

Kian sighed and shook his head.

"You said it yourself, right? There's no escaping this. All parts of Sylis are experiencing the same mass overflow. There's nowhere to hide so why not just fight? Besides, we may be able to win by some chance." He said and smiled at her.

"I-is that so?" Keiko, knowing that she can't persuade Kian to give up had a sad look and nodded. Deep inside, she really wanted to take him away from this place but doing so would make him hate her again.

Kian turned his gaze back to the Boreas Tower. He noticed that the sun was already setting. The scene was beautiful. It was not everyday that he was able to see a scene like this. Most of the time, he woke up either late or he was a inside the tower and hunting.

There was no sign of activity from the dungeon despite the fact that it's already the predicted time. However, no one had let their guards down.

Soon, the sun was almost gone and was barely peeking from the horizon. Suddenly, the gates started to glow in a dark purple light. It was beautiful and pleasing to the eyes but with danger it brought, no one was fascinated.

Not more than ten seconds after the purple glow appeared when a burst out of uncountable monsters came out of the gates.  The scene reminded Kian of a video he once saw about a dam breaking from too much water and a flood coming to drown the town.

Some monsters rose to the skies and flapped their magnificent wings. With a few screams, they quickly shot barrages of elemental attacks. On the ground, monsters that preferred to not fly met the front lines head on.

Boreas Tower was a place crawling with monsters with levels above a hundred. Thus, there were hundreds of humanoid monsters that came out.

Seeing that the monsters that came out already numbered in thousands, Vanish raised his sword and made a huge slash at a cosmage level monster and instantly wiping it out.

"Barrier Magis!" He screamed, his attacks were relentless.

Right after he screamed, a massive barrier was quickly erected and protected the area where the players gathered. It prevented the monsters from reaching them. It didn't do the same for the players though.

Just like what had been planned, Magi with huge area of effect spells launched their attacks. The spells were like giagntic carnivorous flowers in the battlefield that devoured lives. Hundreds of spells launched together immediately wiped out a huge area and erased thousands of monsters from existence.

However, the monsters were endless. After a few minutes, the magi who launched multiple massice spells were now running out of mana. The barrier was not able to hold on.

The magi who couldn't fight anymore quickly escaped to the protection of the prepared tanks.

Melee fighters immediately quickly entered the showdown of the battle of races. Of course, Kian and the others weren't about to let the others steal way all the limelight.

They jumped from the twenty feet tall building and landed on the battlefield. Amy was left on the second floor with her huge bow on hand.

A child suddenly materialized near Kian. He had a silver hair with a little bit of black strands and his eyes were monochromatic. He also had a pair of ears and tails. It was Xian who was finally achived his human transformation.

After they landed on the ground, the four quickly launched their own attacks.

All this while, Kian was hunting inside Boreas Tower. With the huge increase in his physical stats, he was able to develop a new kind of fighting.

Kian met a monster with humanoid body. It was ten meters tall and had spikes all over its body. It wasn't enough to scare him though. In fact, he was a little bit excited. With a huge leap, he kicked the giant's and landed upon it.

With his pistol on hand, he quickly fired a Distort skill and multiple Phantom Bullets to penetrate the head of the monster.

With the monster's elemental resistance, the attack was not enough to kill it it but it definitely took a lot of damage. It screamed and shot multiple spikes at Kian. Kian quickly dodged and grinned.

Suddenly, a black metal claw passed through the place where Kian originally attacked. It was from Xian who had a pair of class on his hands.

Ever since he achieved human transformation, the two were able to develop their teamwork even further.

The giant dispersed into fragments of multicolored lights. However, a single kill like this was not enough to change the situation of the battlefield. The two quickly sought out their next prey because after all, the night had just began and more monsters were still about to come.
