A few days have passed. Kian mostly spent his time shopping with his sister or fooling around the city with George. As for the rise in his stats, he kept it on the back of his mind for now since he still wanted to spend some time with his sister and his friend.

On his stay here, Kian managed to make a few friends as well.  Thankfully, not everyone hated Gloom Magi. This was true especially towards the players who had friends or family in the Gloom Faction.

Today was like the usual day. Amy took him to the garden to meet up with some friends she knew. The garden was as beautiful as ever. However, there were less people today since there was an event in the city right now.

They went to the meeting place which was a secluded area. A few benches were laid out and there was a table on the center.

They planned to eat together while they waited for the others to come. The agreed time was thirty minutes later so they decided to talk as they waited.

Kian was currently on causal clothes, something that he bought on his stay here.

It was the first time he wore something like them inside the game. After all, there weren't that many Neutral Class players back at the academy who could sew clothes.

A few minutes later, a figure approached them. She had a light brown skin, wavy purple hair, and although she wasn't exactly that beautiful, she carried a certain charm that could get the others to quickly like her.

Her lithe body slightly swayed as she got nearer. Kian couldn't help but take a second look at her and through some coincidence, her purple orbs met his brown ones and didn't separate for a few seconds.

"Lex!" Amy stood up and hugged her.

"What? Missed me?" the girl named Lexa smiled and hugged her back.

Amy quickly led her to Kian who already stood up.

"Let me introduce you to my brother, Kian. He's a Gloom Grand Warlock." Amy introduced her.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Alexa but you can call me Lex" Alexa said, her voice like bells ringing on one the ears.

"Hey Lex. I'm Kian. Nice to meet you too." Kian managed to say with a smile.

They talked for a bit before Alexa informed them that the other two players they were waiting for couldn't come due to some matters. Thus, they decided to start right away.

According to their conversations, he learned that Alexa just came from a hunting trip yesterday and wanted to unwind for a bit. They also talked about the latest fashion trends in White Lotus City which left him no place to speak for quite a bit of time.

What surprised him the most was that Alexa loved talking about monsters and adventures the most. When she heard from Amy that he just came from a long journey, she kept asking him for his experiences.

As they chatted, Kian was quite taken aback by the lively atmosphere they made. It was something that he had only rarely seen. Even the playful conversations between him, Bea, and Shawn weren't as bright as this.

He didn't notice but he was also already talking with at a tone a bit higher than normal.

Amy who was beside him couldn't help but smile when she saw her brother interacting like this. Even back in the real world, he rarely to talked with acquaintances except for George and a few others.

While they were lost in their conversations, the wind blew a strange howl on his ears. He couldn't help but become alert. It was also the same for Alexa and Amy. They were after all warriors with higher physical abilties than him and they quickly got into their positions.

"Enemies?" he quickly took out his pistol and released Kian.

Alexa's reaction was faster than Amy's which surprised him a but. After all, players from the Radiant Faction weren't quite to fighting. The monsters they encounter were also weaker than those in the Gloom Faction's territories so he thought that they always had a tendency to become lazy when fighting.

This must be because she was always fighting even after the Dimension Separation occurred.

Kian also got into position but not at the center. He placed himself at the back to protect Amy, the archer which had the lowest vitality points.

"Quite the fast reactions huh?" a man's voice sounded out.

Right after he spoke, black figures quickly appeared on different directions. They surrounded them in a circle.

Kian counted and they numbered up to a dozen. He also considered that there might be a few more hiding.

"Xian, keep a look out for ambushers" he whispered to Xian beside him.

Xian nodded and stood at the middle to oversee the situation. Amy and Alexa also did the same with their Battle Pets.

"You're the PKers? This is is not a game anymore. Why are you doing this?"Amy lashed out at them.

"Hehe. How so?" a cloaked man said. It seems that he was the one who spoke before.

"Quickly dispose of them. Activate your Drop Gems!" the man said to the cloaked figures and raised his hands.

On his hand was a ring with a small skull design. It suddenly glowed with a sinister purple light. It suddenly shot a ray of lightning towards the trio.

Kian really wanted to curse at his luck. To think that he would encounter PKers on a random meet-up. He sighed and braced himself for the attack.
