Bryce POV:

I woke up underwater, for a second I forgot we were in Brian's Pool, I stretched and swam to the surface, when I popped my head out of the water I saw someone in the room called kitchen, the door was closed, I jumped out of the water and sat on the edge, Brock and Jon were asleep at the bottom, I only looked up to see the sun coming up slowly, I took a deep breath and laid on the floor

"Good morning Bryce?" I looked to the door and saw Ryan with a plate

"Good morning Ryan" I sat up again and he kneeled

"Do you want breakfast?" he showed me the plate with something brownish and circular

"What's that?" I poked the thing with my finger

"Hot-cakes"

"What is it made of?"

"flour, eggs, sugar and more things, want?" I took the hot-cake thing and sniffed it, then I licked it and took a bite but spit it out

"Blah... that's so dry"

"Then what do you eat?" he cut his food and ate it

"Fish, seaweed, shrimp, octopus and other animals of the sea"

"I don't have that... I'll have to go to the store" I was about to say something but my stomach grumbled "I'll take a shower and go get your food" he stood up and walked away

"Wait, Ryan!" he didn't turn he just walked up the stairs

"What happened?" asked Brock as he rubbed his eyes

"Nothing, Ryan will get us some food" 

---Time skip---

"So you come from the ocean?" asked the little human named Lui as he sat on my lap with Jon and Brick by my side

"Yes we do"

"How does it feel to have a fin and no feet?" 

"We don't know, we've never had feet" we kept talking a little and the sun began to burn our skin, we went back into the water but it began to  get warm in no time to the point where the water burned, we didn't know what to do

"Lui... can you call you brother?" I asked and he nodded

"What do I tell him?"

"That the water is burning and our skin is burning too" answered Brock

"Okay" he cheered and ran upstairs

"Jon? Jon?!" I looked for him until I saw him as he swam from side to side desperate "Jon what's wrong?" I dove to him and he looked at me with his gray eyes

"My skin! it burns! I can't hide, the sun is too much, the light is blinding!" that's when I remembered that Jon can't be in the light for too long, then all the sudden the water began to drain

"What's happening?!" asked Brock, the water drained fast and we couldn't reach the edge to get out of the now empty pool "We need water" gasped Brock

"But we can't get out, the stairs are too high for us" the sun began to burn even more as our skin dried 

"Ryan!" I screamed but I knew he wasn't near, I began to drool and my tail began to turn black as it burned slowly "R...R...Ryan..." I whispered, Jon's transparent tail began to dry too and Brock was unconscious and so I began to feel tired and I closed my eyes
