I stood there looking at my herd, how calm and peaceful these plains were, the green grass, the sound of the river and the sound of the leafs moving with the wind, I took a deep breath and sat down
"Daddy!" I felt a small figure jump on my back
"Hey, hey, how is my strong little zebra doing?" I turned to see my daughter who was a small zebra centaur "Come here" I grabbed her and began to tickle her
"No! daddy stop!" she giggled as I rubbed her belly
"How are you darling?" she sat up and looked at the pains and she scratched her goat-like horns
"I'm fine daddy, someone is behind you" I turned to see Craig, he walked next to me and carefully I helped him to lay down
"Hi, Craig"
"Hi Brock" he giggled "How is the herd doing?"
"Everything well, you know, it's always peaceful here" I smiled and admired my people as the children played around, the elder relaxed and talked
"Hey! Soka!" I turned to see Jonathan and Luke with Evan at their feet, my daughter turned to me
"Daddy, can I play with Evan?" I thought about it as the three centaurs walked closer
"Come on, Brock, let your daughter have some fun" said Jon
"What are you talking about? I'm Mr.fun, in fact! my second name is fun, isn't that right darling?" I hugged Soka and showered her with kisses
"Daddy! stop!" she giggled and got out of my grip "Can I play with Evan?" I turned to Evan who blushed and hid behind Luke's legs"
"Sure" Soka cheered and grabbed Evan's arm "Don't go too far! and stay away from the river! and also the poison ivy!" I stood up and looked how they both ran towards the forest
"Don't worry, she's smart" Craig said
"I know but... I've always fear something happens to her" I turned to Craig who was still laid down
"We'll go, we have things to do" said Luke as he took Jon's hand and walked away
"I also have to go" Craig tried to stand but I kept him down
"Craig, you're pregnant, you should be resting"
"I know but my husband is sick, and I have to take care of him" he slowly stood up and I hugged him
