Chapter One

Delilahs POV

First year of real school starting in just a week. First year of high school. First year without the academy. I don't know what to do, I'm hyperventilating about this. David and I decided to drop out of the academy because dad doesn't want me to have to bait. Mom told me to do what I want to do and I want to not disappoint him. He had a childhood filled with disappointment that I don't wish to add to. Im not going to lie, Im scared. Ive been on missions worse than attending, but Ive never even stepped into a public school, I dont know what to expect. Mom says its not too bad if you meet the right people. What if I mess up and miss my chance at the right people?

"Delilah honey, do you want to go to the appointment with me and Sean?" My mom asked through my closed door.

I quickly say yes and text David not knowing where he was.

Delilah: going to mothers appointment then going to the mall with Gabe to get clothes for school if we can?

David: of course, baby sis. Maybe I can meet some nice girls. ;) gotta search for the booty.

Your gross

Thats what Im here for sis lol

I go to my closet and grab my high waist, bleached, ripped at the bottom shorts with my purple floral print shirt and flower print vans.

I walked down the stairs and saw Gabe sitting on our couch. I walk over to him and sit on his lap.

"Hey daddy, I was wondering if after mothers appointment we could go to the mall and go shopping?" His eyes lit up like I knew they would.

"Shopping? Fuck yeah, Im in! Just dont go prancing around in some of the stuff I buy, its your first year you've got to make an impression."

"Why do you think I ask daddy?"

"Don't be a smartass, Delilah. Now go get David and get him in something presentable "

Now go get David and get him in something presentable "
