Chapter Five

It's the first day of school and I honestly think I'm ready. I've met these two girls. One girl, Zoey was in all AP classes last year and is really smart. We had conversations about almost every subject. Then I met Rosaly, a girl on the cheer squad. We talked for hours about big clothing brands that we liked and cheer in general. She had a great personality, they both did.

I got dressed a little too formal but I didn't care. I wore a black skin tight dress that hit above my knees and had slits cut open on both sides just above my hips. It was a heart shaped strapless dress that I paired with black flats with white bows on top. I also texted David to make sure he had on his first-day outfit and his black vans.

Dad offered to take us to school, which I took willingly because I didn't want to ride the bus in this outfit. As we neared the school I noticed that Dad's and David's face both hardened as they went into a protective mode. Dad parked the car and jumped out to open my door grabbing my hand and helping me out as he wrapped me up in a tight hug and kissed the top of my head, telling me how proud of me he was that I could make a big decision without outside pressure. Little did he know it was his pressure that I fell under. The same pressure he had that made me want to be perfect for him.

David also came around and grabbed my backpack. No matter how hard I protested he wouldn't budge, then we were off.
