Chapter Eleven
Mark's POV
As the beauty rushed me down the stairs, I began to worry. She said dads, as in plural. That means more men that could make me pee myself. And was I just friend-zoned? Does she already have a boyfriend?
As we walked into the dining room, I took in the family in front of me. Nine men, all different shapes and sizes. Children of different ages and genders, some needed high chairs or booster-seats. The table seemed to be lifted because Victoria, who was only a few inches smaller then Delilah, was too small for the table and was kneeling on an extremely stuffed pillow fitted for the seat.
A hand landed on my shoulder and I spun around quick. The hand belonged to a man with long blond hair and brown eyes. He was built but not as much as some of the other men at the table.
"My name's Luke," said the man. He shot out a hand for me to shake. His hands were soft but also warm as if he had been cooking. I let go of his hand, he turned, nodding to David and heading off. A screeching sound told me someone was coming for me from the table. I turned and saw a punk rocker. He had mostly brown hair with blond locks in the front on each sides of his face. He had piercing blue eyes and he had piercings on both ears but three black studs on the right ear. I could tell that he was taking in me as much as I was him. I stuck out my hand for him to shake as I said:
"I wasn't able to tell Luke, but my name's Mark. "
"Oy, trust me kid, we all know your name. Victoria told us all about you," the man said.
"She's very good at never have I ever sir. "
"That she is, I'm sure. She kicks our ass at monopoly, thanks to Owen," he gave a small chuckle. "The names Gabriel, so I don't want that fucking 'sir' bullshit." He left out the same door Luke did, which I didn't question. I was still chuckling at his last statement.
As I recovered, a man dressed as if he was going to church or even a funeral, came up to me. He was in a white polo and black slacks. I guess that it's an appropriate attire for mostly anything. He had perfectly cropped hair and as many may call them, fire eyes.
"My names Victor." His smooth baritone voice told me.
"That's my biological father," Victoria told me.
I guess that made sense, their names matched. I shook his hand and he too left out the door. Then a bulkier but shorter man stood. He had red hair and blue eyes a shade darker than Gabriel's.
"The names Nathan," the man said he shook my hand and left. Next a man who was tall, built, and dressed in all black.
"Διασκεδάστε με αυτό ένα Σίλας. Αυτός ουσιαστικά είναι Ουρολαγνεία τον εαυτό του και εσείς δεν έχετε καν σηκώθηκε ακόμα. Νομίζω ότι αυτός έχει δει ποτέ ένα γίγαντα?" He turned back to me and grunted, leaving the room.
Next a giant stood. He was taller than any of the others. He was wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey. He had dark hair and you could see in the ocean in his eyes from five feet away.
"My name is Silas. That over there was North. He doesn't speak much unless it's in Greek or grunts." And with that he too left.
Then a man in a suit and tie stood. My back had a need to straighten itself as my eyes landed on him. He straightened himself, and rubbed away non existent wrinkles. He also had perfectly parted hair like Victor. Everything about him screamed perfect. As he started to walk toward me another stood. This man had rugged blond hair.
The first man came up to me and shook my hand. " My name is Mr Blackbourne." And with that he stepped back and let the next man through.
"Don't listen to him. His name is Owen. We are all Mr Blackbourne now so he can't have him call you that. The names Sean." He shook my hand and left the room. Now there was only one man left. He looked almost exactly like Delilah. He didn't stand, just turned in his chair. He was wearing glasses so I couldn't tell the color of his eyes but his hair was brown. I felt Delilah's hand push me forward.
"Mark, this is our biological father Dakota," David said.
"Daddy, this is Mark, our new friend from public school."
I put out my hand for him to shake with a nice to meet you sir. He shook my hand and stared right into my eyes.
Hurt my baby girl and you'll have all of us on your ass. His eyes warned.
"Welcome to the family. Try not to hit on my wife too much."
Delilah started to laugh at her father as he too left to the room. Victoria picked up two cuties who couldn't be older than a year yet.
"Theses two are Nitalia and Neviah. Right now it's hard to tell the apart because they're only eleven months old so Nitalia wears a lot more black than any other color and then Neviah wear a lot of pink. These are Norths babies. Mom thinks it's funny that he was gifted with two girls because he seems so rough but he isn't with her and can't be with the babies. Also mama says that he used to call her Sang Baby or Baby Girl."
Just then two bodies wrapped themselves around my legs. Everyone left started to laugh when I stumbled a little. When I caught my balance, David started to speak.
"These two Devils here are Leo and Gale. Leo is three, his father is Luke. Gale is five and Gabe's his father." Gale blew a raspberry at David while Leo cracked up. They both jumped up off my legs and started chasing each other around the table. Then I noticed bodies hiding, or at least trying to, behind Delilah. She sent me a smile and side stepped to show me the children.
"These to are Nataly and Sabastian, Nate's and Silas's kids. Nätäly is seven and Sabastian is ten Victoria is Victors and she's twelve."
"Almost thirteen." Victoria defended.
"Almost is key." David mumbled
The door to the dining room opens and a beautiful woman popped out with a plateful of toast. She was small and had an obvious baby belly. When she set the plate down, she came at me and welcomed me in a warm embrace.
