Chapter Thirty Nine

Sadies POV

I woke up to the smell of pancakes cooking downstairs. I looked over at Bryan, his hair messy from rolling around in the bed.

I really want pancakes. I felt the baby move, I guess she's hungry too.

I got up and went to the bathroom before heading towards the kitchen. As I walked in I saw Delilah cooking in one of Marks shirt.

"Good morning." I made my presence known.

She whipped around looking seriously perplexed. Like so perplexed that it was beyond obvious on her scrunched up, wrinkled forehead.

"Whats up Sissy?" I asked

"Mark-Anthony doesn't want to have sex with me." She said with a troubled face. "Its kept me up all night."

"I don't understand," I said.

"Yesterday I really wanted to have all of him, but he told me no! He wants to make sure I'm absolutely ready. You know, no episodes."

"Shouldn't you be flattered?" I asked. I was beyond confused. "I mean he's not forcing you to be with him. He's taking your condition into account."

"Yes but I know that he's the one. I know its odd for me to be saying so early on, but I have this feeling that I can't push away. I honestly think I can overcome my issues if I'm with him like that."

I started to slightly understand a bit more. "So you think that doing the deed with him, he will somehow cure you?"

"I think its worth a shot." She flipped the pancakes and softly continued. "You think I'm crazy, don't you."

"I think you should be talking to Mark, not me. Get his thoughts on this too." She nodded.

Footsteps could be heard so I stopped my train of thought and waited for the approaching person. Rachel walked in with messy bedhead and Davids shirt on her body.

"You know this sucks. With Sadie getting adopted, I now have no one to talk to about how great David is in bed." Rachel said with a knowing smile.

"Rachel! Ew!" Delilah screamed. Rachel started laughing.

"Whats so funny?" Tyler asked as he walked towards the kitchen.

"I was just telling Delilah and Sadie about my night with David," Rachel confessed. Tyler chuckled.

"Are the pancakes almost done?" Tyler asked

"No," Delilah said with a smile.

"Damn." Tyler gave her a smile. "I'm going to wake up the others."

"Good luck," I said. He sent me a smile.

"I'll go wake up David!" Rachel said with a wink to Delilah.

"Ew, you nasty!" Delilah yelled. Rachel laughed as she walked out.

As we all sat around the table, Rachel had a sudden jolt.

"Can we go Christmas shopping?" She asked.

So that's why we are currently in two cars on our way to the mall. Rachel dragged Delilah and me into a hobby shop.

Delilah had a scowl as she kept looking at her phone. Rachel kept looking between me and Delilah. I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Oh wow! I'm totally going to get this for you, Delilah!" Rachel said as she picked up a random cow thing.

"Mhm." Delilah hummed without looking up.

"Oh hell no!" Rachel yelled, getting the attention of Delilah and the rest of the store. "I will not play second to your phone. I don't care if its President Donald Trump on the phone. I'm your best friend and I demand your attention!"

"I'm sorry," Delilah said. "Mark-Anthony and I were talking about stuff."

"What kind of stuff?"

"Sex." Rachels' face turned to stone.

"I will kill him."

"He refuses to have sex with me so I asked Sadie what I should do." Delilah confided in Rachel.

"Did she tell you to wait?" Rachels stone-like face turned to me.

"She has this idea that he will magically cure her so I told her to talk to Mark about it," I said.

"Oh god! David would have a bird!" Rachel exclaimed.

"That's why you won't tell him," Delilah said with certainty. "At least not until I figure it out with Mark-Anthony."

"I just want you to be safe." Rachel said. "What if you have another episode? You get sent back to the hospital."

"That's why he won't," Delilah mumbled.

"Yeah, because he cares for you!" Rachel grabbed her best friend into a hug. "Let's finish shopping."
