Chapter Fifty
Delilahs POV
"You ready?" Mark-Anthony asked. He had just finished eating dessert.
"What time is it?" I asked, taking my phone out to check.
"Just six now," Mark-Anthony said before I could turn on my phone.
Jade stood up and walked us to the door. She gave me a quick hug and Mark-Anthony a hag and a kiss on the cheek. Mark-Anthony put his hand on the small of my back as he led me to his car. He opened the door for me and went to his side after closing my door. He started up the car and pointed to the back seat.
"Would you mind grabbing the CD case in the back seat?" He sent me an apologetic smile. "I forgot to grab it before I got in. It should be behind my seat."
I nodded and unbuckled. I put on a knee on the center console and the other on my seat as I went between the two seats. I put my left hand on the back seat and grabbed the case. Well, tried. It was jammed and too hard to get out with just one hand. I lent further over, putting my elbow on the seat. I finally got it out when I felt the warm air from the vents fly under my skirt. My eyes went wide as I dropped quickly into my seat.
I glanced over at Mark-Anthony. He was looking intently out the front windshield with a blush on his cheek.
"I'm sorry I-" We started at the same time. We both started laughing, getting rid of any awkward feeling. He cleared his throat and spoke up.
"I have the majority of his albums if you want to pop one in." I gave him a smile. I loved how we could bond over Ed Sheeran.
I grabbed his newest album, and popped it in. While + was definitely my favorite with its defiant song You Need Me, I Dont Need You, Divide was my second favorite. Being track one, Eraser came on.
"I was born inside a small town, I lost that state of mind. Learned how to sing inside the Lords house, but stopped the age of nine." I started to speak with him.
"This song is so sad," Mark-Anthony said. I looked over at him.
"Well yeah. The songs about him drinking away his stress and sorrows." I said.
"Not so fun fact," Mark-Anthony put up a single finger. "In his early career, he would get drunk a lot, sometimes before concerts and gigs."
I just nodded. We listened to Castle on the Hill and Dive. During Dive, Mark-Anthony grabbed my hand. When Shape of You came on, Mark-Anthony held up his finger again.
"Fun Fact, many think Ed Sheeran got his melody from TLCs No Scrubs."
"Do you think he did?" I asked
"I don't hear it but that doesn't mean it isn't a possibility."
He took a left into the stadiums parking lot. We got out of the car and went in, handing the bouncer our tickets. We walked into the main stadium and went to our seats.
At exactly eight, the lights went off and James Blunt came out. He sang Ok Youre Beautiful Goodbye My Lover 1973 and Bartender
My stomach twisted with excitement as we all waited for Ed Sheeran to take the stage. When he came out the whole crowd went crazy. He started singing. Castle on the Hill and the crowd started singing along.
"Im on my way! Driving at 90 down these country lanes! Singing to Tiny Dancer! And I miss the way you make me feel, and its real! We watched the sun set over the castle on the hill."
After Castle on the Hill, he sang Eraser (which made me and Mark-Anthony laugh), The A Team, and a mashup of Dont and New Man. As he sang Dive, My voice started to sting but I didnt mind, I sang along.
