Chapter Forty Five
Braydons POV
After an amazing shower and a fun round two in my bed, we laid there for a few minutes. I looked at my phone for the time. 2:30, two hours left until I had to bring Mr.King Hawaiian home. I turned and looked at him.
"Do you want to do something? We have two more hours." He turned to his side and smiled.
"Are you trying to get rid of me?" He asked with a teasing smile.
"Hardly, I just want to make memories we can tell our adopted munchkins." He let out a chuckle. I kissed his forehead and got up. "Get dressed, Im bringing you to the bowling alley in town."
"Babe, we still have those sandwiches in the fridge." He started to get dressed in the clothes he had on earlier.
I put on the clothes I wanted to wear to the hearing and we went downstairs to eat. After, we hopped in my car and headed to the bowling alley. When we parked, I ran to his door to open it for him.
"I can get my own door you know," he said to me. A bit defensive, I might add.
"I know. When you drive you can open my door but when I drive, I will always open your door." I said.
"Its not an equality thing or whatever. Im a boy and the guy opens the door for the girl."
"Thats ridiculous. Opening the door is a thing of courtesy and respect. Thats why chauffeurs open their bosss door. And guess what, I respect the hell out of you. Now get your pretty ass inside before I beat it." I said teasingly. He rolled his eyes and headed towards the door. For good measure, I gave him a light tap on the ass that made him jump and blush.
I went in and asked the guy for two pairs of shoes and a game. He handed me a size 12 and a size 11 then sent us to our lane.
"Bowling alleys always smell weird." Tyler scrunched up his nose. I let out a laugh.
"Its just the wax that they use on the lanes," I told him.
"Are these clean?" He asked pointing to the shoes. I looked at him confused.
"Have you ever gone bowling before?" I asked him.
"Mini-bowling in Maine, but it wasnt like this." He said with a pout. I gave him a quick kiss.
"The shoes are fine. Theyre sprayed with Lysol or whatever so theyre clean." He nodded and we put the shoes on. I put our names into the system and got the game ready to go.
"Here, since youve only ever played mini bowling, I'll go first and you can watch and see the differences between bowling and Mini." He nodded and I stood up on the platform. I took a deep breath and threw the ball. I stood and watched all 10 pins fall. "Your turn King."
Tyler let out a laugh and stepped up to bowl. He didnt put his fingers in the holes, instead, he used to hands to throw the ball, resulting in a gutter ball. He turned to me with a pout.
"You're still up. Try putting your fingers in the holes." He grabbed his ball, putting his fingers in this time, and threw the ball down the lane. This time scoring him an eight.
I went up and turned to Tyler. "Watch me closely this time." I grabbed my ball and stepped on an arrow before taking my strides and throwing the ball. I got another strike.
Tyler grabbed his ball, went to the same arrow as I did, took his strides, and threw the ball, He got a strike. He did this cute little celebratory dance before he came and sat down so I could take my turn.
After trading strike after strike, we had made it to the tenth frame. I stood and grabbed my ball. I went to the arrow, took my strides and threw my ball. I stood and watched my ball ruin me. It knocked down eight pins, leaving me in a horrible position. A split. There goes my 300.
"Fuck." My ball came back and I finished the game for myself.
Tyler went up and threw down two strikes. As he went to throw the third ball to end his frame, the ball slipped and had a weird spin as it slowly rolled down the lane. It knocked down nine pins and left the tenth teetering back and forth, deciding it wanted to stay up.
That pin made me win by one point. 278-277.
"Lets go home so you can change," I said to him.
We gave the shoes back and headed to my car. As I went to start it, Tyler kissed me on the cheek.
"You rock at bowling." He whispered.
I grabbed him by the face and kissed him hard.
"Thank you, my King Hawaiian." He groaned at his new nickname. I chuckled and started the car.
