The next morning, or a few hours later I should say, I woke up in my bed; my body freezing. Chill bumps rose on my arms, so quickly and so much it burned my skin. Licking my lips, I pushed my hair from my face. I had another night mare, only this one was different. I was floating in this white light, when some invisible force slammed into me. I fell, for what seemed like forever, before hitting an invisible, but solid, ground. Before I could process what happened, I was surrounded by dark spirits. I wanted to fight them off, but something in me kept me from moving. And just as I felt my body finally tearing, my screams non-existent- I woke up.

Tossing myself out of my bed, I quickly changed, and tossed my hair into a bun. Grabbing my fold-away glider, I left my room, before returning for to exchange my slippers for my boots. After that, I headed outside, not even waiting for the door to close before taking off into the sky. As the wind whipped my face, whistling in my ear and my stomach dropping, I closed my eyes to the rising sun. Taking a deep breath, I let out a grunt and my eyes popped open. My stomach no longer felt like it was dropping, but instead a horrible, stomach-grabbing cramp-like pain rung through my body. Losing my grip on my glider, I grasped for it as I begun to fall back to the earth. After a few hopeless attempts, I took one last reach for my glider, in hopes to close it. Just as my fingers brushed it, I was hit with such a brutal force, spots filled my eyes. Hitting branches as I broke through the tree top, the black edge of my vision slowly grew as the pain slowly numbed away. I vaguely remember stopping, though my vision was all but gone. In one last blurry picture, all I saw was a white blob coming towards me. Somewhere in my subconscious told me to scream, to fight, but the greater part told me to go into the inviting blackness. So I did.

Not willing to open my eyes, I moaned and waved at the air as something large and wet was slapped across the side of my face. I had a major headache, and I wanted whatever it was to just get the message and leave! The bumpy-thing was hit across my face again, only this time the force pulled my head up. With an annoying grunt as my head hit the ground, I opened my eyes. I was met with a big black nose, sniffing at me. With wide eyes, it blew a hot breath of air onto my face, before sticking its tongue out and licked me! I sat up with a joint, and then fell back with a squeal. Using my legs, I pushed back, until the top of my head hit a tree trunk.

“Omp-ow!”

The bison tipped his head to the side, before letting out a small roar as it laid down. Taking a few breaths, I slowly sat up, and moved over to the bison. It’s large eyes widened, but it didn’t move. I could sense something was wrong, so I lifted my hands in a sign of peace.

“Shh, shh, it’s okay, I’m not going to hurt you.”

Reaching one hand, I resting it on the bison’s nose while I leaned on the other. When it didn’t move away, I moved my hand to rub it’s face.

“Hi… hi… little fella.”

The bison lifted its head, startling me so much I pulled my arm back and fell back onto my knees. It let out a roar so strong I got spit on my face. Frowning in disgust, I wiped the gooey liquid from my face, flinging it to the ground. I knew from Oogi, that the roar meant that the bison wasn’t happy about something.

“Okay… Little girl-”

Giving a small moan of satiation, the bison rested her head back down. My mouth grew into an ‘o’ and my eyes grew wide.

“Oh, you’re a girl!... Okay, I can deal with that. I like girls better anyways.”

The bison laid her head back down, her hazel eyes on me. Looking her over, I noticed she was large, but not as large as Oogi, telling me she was a young Sky Bison. Reaching out, I rubbed my hand down the side of her face.
