“Ugh.”

Jinora looked over beside her, where Bri rested. She stirred, her hanging head slowly swaying. Then, in a sudden jerk of her body, her head snapped up. She looked to Jinora, before letting out an ear-curling scream. Doing something that Jinora couldn’t see, it annoyed dark Furry-Feet. With a howl the spirit released its grip on her.

“Bri!”

Jinora watched, as with another jerk of her body, Bri started to flare her limbs.

“Jinora! No!”

Unable to watch the last second of Bri’s journey down, Jinora closed her eyes.

~~~
Korra, Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya were all preparing to leave. Even though Zabri and Jinora were still in the spirit world; they needed to go. As they were silently packing, a gasp came from Zabri’s body. Opening her eyes, she fell back to the ground- arms flared beside her. She laid there, gasping for air.
“Zabri!”
Kya and Bumi were quick to sit her up, though she sat there, still not moving.
“Are you okay- how did you escape- where’s Jinora.”
The sound of Jinora’s name seemed to snap her out of whatever trance she was in.
“Jinora? Jinora! JINORA!”
Pushing herself from their grips, she quickly stood.
“Zabri, you need to sit back down.”
“I have to go back- I have to save her- she needs me.”
“Zabri, explain to us!”
“I have to get back there-”
Tenzin caught Bri in a tight grip, forcing her to meet his eyes.
“No, you’re not going back.”
“Let me go- I have to save her!”
“No, you need your rest!”
Bri, having already been fighting Tenzin’s grip; grew feistier.
“No- I’m fine- let me save her!”
“You need to eat- sleep!”
“No I have to- let me go- I have to save her- why won’t you let me save her? I have to save her- I have to save Maia!”
At the mention of Maia’s name, Tenzin lost his grip on Zabri, and she looked at him stunned. Her handing jaw moved like she wanted to say something, but her mouth couldn’t make the sound. Her tearing eyes scanned the group, as she took a step back. But before she could run off, as she was planning to, her legs gave out. Tenzin rushed forward, catching her before she could fully hit the ground.
Having returned to the dormant state of before, tears silently ran down her face. The only noise was the air she breathed through her open mouth. Her half closed eyes looked at nothing, yet everything.
~~~

… No words, can describe my feelings. The utter emptiness and failure is even stronger than I lost Maia. Oh Maia, until today I did not think I was still so effected by her death. I have been proven wrong. The feelings cannot be stronger than what they are- I’m sure. Jinora is trapped, and I have no clue how I was able to free myself, but not her. Seeing Pema’s tears as she cradled her body- did not ease the pain. I’m not sure what exactly took place while I was in the spirit world, but something happened. I write to you right now, as we fly back to Republic City. That is where I shall send off the letter. I mostly write, not just to ease my mind of burdens, but in case something happens… I plan on entering the spirit world again. I’m not sure how I’ll go- meditation or by portal, but just in case something happens to me. I’m going to get Jinora back, I promise my life on that. I only wish, grandfather, for not your wisdom- but that I could hear one of your stories. I must stop writing now, we near the city. I wish you and Aunt well.
