In a slow, timed manner I slipped my sleep top on, and shimmed a pair of shorts on. Grabbing the box my aunt sent me, I also dug out my photo album. Crawling into bed, I snuggled into the covers before opening the photo album. Resting it on my lap, I took the small stake of photos out of their box. Flipping to an empty page, I carefully placed each photo into its own holder. As I filled the first two pages, I paused at the last photo. Running my fingers over it, I took a deep breath. It was a photo of my mother and Uncle Kenji; he was smashing a snowball into her hair acting like he had no desire to be there. The smile on my mother’s face spoke otherwise. The thought that could have been Maia and I, crossed in my brain. Shaking my head, I quickly flipped the page, and went back to the task at hand.
I had a horrible dream last night. I stood in horror, as I watched a battle take place before me. The faces were blurred and the motions escape me, but I know it didn’t end well. The villain got away. I woke up in a cold sweat, and my back throbbing. Maybe the dream was from the pain and body healing. I do not know. The city is amazing; there are these metal walls that rise up into the fashion as a flower almost. They get raised at night and lowered in the morning. In fact, I watched them lower this morning, as I got ready. Breakfast will be served any second, so I must get going.

“Hey, has anyone seen Chief Beifong?”
I sat on the far end of the table, Asami to my right and Korra to her right. Su and Opal were at the head while Mako and Bolin were across from us, and the breakfast had been… quite.
“She’s probably still sulking in her room.”
“I know she has a problem with me, but she had no right to yell at Opal last night.” Just then, Wei and Wing came in. “All set for your power disc game, guys?”
“Yeah, all set to kick Wei's butt.”
“I wanna power disc your face. You should go play with us.”
Wei looked to Korra, swallowing the piece of apple he had been choking on thanks to the punch in the stomach from Wing.
“Um, I don't think I'd be much competition, since I can't metal bend.”
“Really? Lin never offered to train you?”
“Nope. And I guessed I never thought to bring it up because I was learning to air bend, then there was the pro-bending, then I got tied up fighting Equalists. It was a busy few months.”
I nodded my head as I chewed on a piece of apple. It had been quite the few months… I lost my sister, gained new friends, fell in love, got my heart broken, became a master, met my grandmother and grand uncle, basically died, reconnected with my family, met Kwon, got kidnaped, got and branded myself.
“Well, it's probably for the best. I'm sure Lin would be a horrible teacher. As the Avatar, you should have mastery over all the elements. I'd be happy to show you the basics.”
“Really? That would be great!”
Opal smiled, and looked at Bolin.
“You should try it, too.”
“Uh, nah. I'm more of an earth guy. The dirt, rocks; y'know, maybe some light gravel. That's kinda where my heart is.”
The way that he flinched, I saw it because well- I did, it told me that he wasn’t telling the whole truth. Not that I minded, because, well I still wanted to tear Opal in two.
“Okay, Earth Guy. Well, let me know if you change your mind.”
Picking up my fork, I was about to shove a huge pod food into my mouth, when it begun to shake. Moving it back, I gave a small ‘huh’, as I watched it shake in my hand. I watched as it was tugged from my hand.
