With a long moan, I stretched my arms above my head. Bringing my arms slowly down, I rolled my shoulders. With one finale deep breath, I stood up, smiling lightly to myself. I had taken a few minutes before I needed to rush off to meet Korra, Jinora and Tenzin in town, to go up and meditate. The past two weeks had been extremely stressful on all of us- mostly Korra and I feared that my hair would fall out if I stressed out anymore.
Walking into my room, I paused in the doorway. On my freshly made bed, there laid a plain letter. With a smile, I closed my door and rushed to snatch the letter from my bed. My smile grew wider as I saw who it was from.
Forgetting everything else, I slipped my shoes off and fell back onto my bed as I delicately opened the letter from Kwon. Biting my lip, I skimmed it twice before actually reading it. Kwon and I had kept out deal and had been writing each other back and forth since I had left the fire nation. When I finished his letter, I sat up with the intention to write him back at once when I looked at the clock on my wall.
With a gasp, I tossed his letter a side, and quickly tossed my hair from my face. I was late to meet Tenzin! Striping my top off, I struggled with my pants, doing a one legged hop before slipping on a scattered shoe and landing on the ground. At the force of impact I let out a deep groan, my leg dropping onto my bed.
Finally freeing myself from my nomad pants, I quickly changed into a basic red tank top, black pants, and my signature brown boots with matching jacket. My hair, now landing at mid back level, got tossed into low bearing ponytail. My only accessory was my clunky air glider that was not just sacred to the air-nation history, but very cumbersome. It had been about a month since I broken my retractable glider, and I was still in process of fixing it. So until I did, and I was hoping I was close, I was left to use the glider that both my grandmother and mother had used… On the positive side it had a little compartment to hold snacks!

In a small swoosh of air; my feet plopped onto the ground. I closed my glider and slung it over my back in a fluid motion that I had mastered years ago. Pushing the vines aside, I fought to keep them up as I stumbled into the darken street area. As I caught my footing, the three people of whom I cared for greatly came up and looked at me.
“Hi…guys, I know I’m late, I’m so sorry Tenzin, I lost tract of time. What did I miss?”
“Nothing, I still don’t know how to get rid of the vine!”
“I’m sure you’ll find a way.”
“Tenzin’s right Korra, as your dorm-buddy I have faith in you.”
“But, why do you want to get rid of them? You've changed the world. We're connected to the spirits again. The wilds are their homes.”
“I don't think that the people who used to live here are as excited as you are Jinora.”
While I had to agree with them both, I sided more with Korra on the subject. People, whole blocks had to be relocated because of the over grown vines taking over their homes.
With a sigh, Korra easily brushed the vines back and we all climbed out.
“I have to go face the press and tell them I still don't have a way to get rid of the vines. This should be fun.”
As Korra opened her glider, I removed my own and opened it.
“I’ll come with you.”
“Okay.”
“Bye!”
Waving to Jinora, Tenzin and even the little spirits that Jinora always seemed to attract, I took off after Korra.
