No, this is not edited. I will go back later when I have the time and feel like it.
*Stressed out college student rant over*
“There they are- loading them up… We’re not going to act now though- let’s wait until they’re midair, far from any help.”
Leza leaned against me, and I looked at her with my eyebrows raised. She was agreeing with me- for once. Looking back the army, my eyes grew wide as I watched them load Korra and Asami onto the ship. Korra was screaming something but I was just far enough hidden behind a formation of rocks to hear her clearly.
As the air ship begun to take off, I pushed back against Leza, hoping they wouldn’t notice us. I was lucky, because they didn’t. I watched them as the floated off above me. Gathering a wad of spit, I shot it at the ground and rubbed it with my boot. Bending down, I swiped two fingers at the mud, wiping one streak on each side of my face. I then did one from the tip of my nose to my hair line, nearly covering my arrow. Standing, I looked back up to the shrinking air ship.
“Stay close but stay high little girl, I don’t want them seeing you.” I extended and opened my glider. “Let’s do this.”
~~~
It was around mid-morning when I took my dive towards the air ship. I had looked up to Leza, whistling the signal to her, and then swooped towards the air ship. With air-master like grace, I landed on the top of ship. My toes touched down lightly, and the soles of my boots gripped the metal body as the wind whipped across my face. Closing my glider, and placing it in its holder, I moved towards the edge of the ship. Lying on my stomach, I looked over the rounded edge, staying up by the metal trim. About six or eight feet down, there was a cracked window- a perfect place to sneak in. At the same time if my timing was off, then I would be free falling it towards the ground.
… It was risk I was going to take.
Extending my glider once more, I hung the stick down, and after a few tries, wedged it into cracked window. With some force, the window opened quietly. I brought my glider up with a few small grunts and put it back on my hip. Running my tongue over my lips, I slowly shimmied myself down the round edge. I lost my handle though, and with a small yelp went sliding down. I dug my toes into the metal, and by some great luck was able to catch the metal rim my hands had been resting on before. My heart pounded in my chest as I looked down upon the moving earth below.
Okay Bri- okay, you can do this.
Taking a deep breath, I released the edge. Falling forward, I reached for the window- catching it with my elbows. With a few huffs, grunts, and mountain climbs against the side of the ship; I was in. Well, I fell in, but that; not the point.
Hoping up, I closed the window to its previous state, and looked around. I fell into some supplies closet of some sort. While I knew there wasn’t a large amount of guards on the ship, so a disguise wouldn’t be necessary, I still took a chance to snoop around. I found a crowbar, a rope and some really yummy breath mints.
I opened the door slowly, peaking out. When I saw that the coast was clear, I exited and closed the door looking from side to side. I could go left, or right. Knowing I was towards the back of the ship, I knew Korra would be somewhere in the middle. So left it was.
~~~
I stepped lightly, but moved quickly through the halls. Each corner I took with the highest precaution, peaking around to make sure no one was there. The one time I did see a guard, he was standing by a door.
I whipped my head back, and leaned against the wall. I knew Korra and Asami had to be in there. I was figuring out a quick plan of how to take him out when Korra’s voice stopped my blood.
