I stood, packed bags in both arms and around my feet, and watched as Asami’s air ship was pulled to port. The ramp lowered and Asami stood there proud.

“Did someone order a fully equipped Future Industries airship?”

“It's perfect! Thanks Asami.”

“I figured if we're going to Ba Sing Se to search for air benders, we should do it in style.”

Ikki and Meelo were so excited; they both made air scooters and bolted up the ramp to check out the transportation.

“While you guys are gone, Pema and I will hold down the fort.”

Kya picked up little Rohan, bouncing him and cooing at him. He responded by spiting up on her. Pema just smiled and told Kya that Rohan likes her. She was less than impressed as she washed the vomit off with some water bending. Mako then joined us, though he had no bags. I had the feeling that Moody Mako wouldn’t be joining us at this time.

Taking a deep breath, I gathered as many bags as I could and carried them up onto the air ship.

Coming back out, everyone was giving finale good byes. I hugged the children extra tight, made sure Leza was safe on the top of the air ship with the other animals and even hugged Kya, before I got on the ship.

We got no down time after we took off. Everyone, including Moody Mako who- surprise-surprise actually came with us, took a seat at the large conference table. A map of the earth nation was laid out on the table. Looking down at it, I got the worst fear in my stomach.

All I knew about my father was that after my mother died and he ditched Maia and I, was that he ran off to the earth nation. I had done my best since then to not go anywhere near the place minus my home, Republic City. The thought my father might be in one of those towns or- fate forbid, a new air bender; made a wind of emotions blow through me.

“As of now, these are the towns where we've gotten reports about air benders. It looks like we can hit up most of them before we get to Ba Sing Se”

Mako’s voice pulled me from my thoughts and back to the map.

“We're going to bring the Air Nation back from the brink of extinction after nearly two hundred years.”

“And it’s all because of you Korra.”

Looking from the map to Tenzin, Tenzin- the man who basically raised me, the only thing I had close to a father; made my stomach just soured more.

Kwon,

The air ship- is amazing! It’s so grand I can’t even think about how much it would cost to actually own it. I’m so grateful to Asami for allowing us to use it. We are currently on our way to the first town with a reported air bender. I’m not sure how it’s all going to go down, but I can only hope that this man will want to join us.

After landing in the town, we were led straight to dinner. The new air bender, Kuon, sat opposite of us, with his family. I was wedged between Jinora and Bolin, with Kuon’s children across from us.

“Kuon, I am honored to meet you, I am air master Zabri. That is master Tenzin.”

“I just want to say it's an honor to meet a fellow air bender.”

“Oh, I still think of myself as a simple farmer. Who can air bend!”

With a flick of his hand a pie went flying in the air. I let out a yelp and dived as it came towards my direction. It ended up hitting Bolin right in the face.
