Chapter 28 - The Secret

"I want you to resign," yael announced as he and Karylle were eating breakfast. Karylle stopped, troubled why her husband said so.

"huh?!" she protested. "No!"

"why not?"

"Bakit ako mag reresign?? Hindi pwede!" pag hindi sang ayon ni Karylle.

"bakit nga?"

"I could ask you the same thing!" spoon and forks are thrown at Karylle's plate.

"Hindi ko na gusto na nagtatrabaho ka sa kaniya." Yael said strictly.

Karylle can't believe what her husband is saying. "diba pinag usapan na natin 'to?"

"Oo, pinag usapan na nga natin.. " yael paused. "but if you want to save this marriage then do as I say."

"urghh!" Karylle groaned. "you don't understand!"

"of course I do... And you will too.."

Yael got up and walked away from the kitchen. Karylle was left speechless. Gusto niyang umiyak pero di niya magawa.

"Bakit? Anong nagawa ko? Dahil ba kagabi? Anoo?" she thought.

Yael's POV

Di ko na kaya. Di ko na talaga kaya. I have read Karylle's phone last night. I mean, kaninang umaga pala.. Nang hinatid siya ng gunggong na yun dito. I can't even describe what I'm feeling when I read their text messages.

Kung tutuusin ilan lang 'to sa mga masasakit na nalaman ko as I scanned into Karylle's phone.. She was asleep as I discovered her secrets.. And by secrets, I mean all of it.. The conversations, the posts, the dates, it's indescribable.. I put my hand in my heart as I slowly leaned in the door... I breathed in and breathed out..

Ang sakit....

Sobrang sakit...

All this time she's been having a cheesy fling with Vice.. Of course she will deny it but I am not stupid! Hindi ako tanga! Ang tagal ko nang nagtiis.. Sobrang tagal na.. The moment Vice hired her alam kong may something na talaga.. The way he invites her, the way he picks her up, the way he talks to her, and the way he gives her special treatments just like last night... I'm tired of giving in kaya pinakealaman ko ang cellphone niya.. at tama nga ang hula ko..

He said I have his word.. That he won't do anything to K.. And I was a fool to believe in it.

Humagulgol ako sa sobrang sakit... Hindi ko lang pinahalata kanina..

General POV

Matamlay na pumasok sa opisina si Karylle. Binati niya si Vice at ganun rin ito sa kaniya. Umupo kaagad siya sa table niya at blankong tinignan ang computer niya..

Napansin kaagad ni Vice ang aura niya kaya tinanong niya ito. "what happened to you?"

Karylle looked at Vice sadly.. "Yael wants me to resign."

There was a short pause and then Vice said, "I won't allow it."

"Di ko na alam ang gagawin ko, Vice." Maluha luhang sabi ni Karylle.

"do you want to resign?"

"No! of course not."

"then stay!"
