CHAPTER 22: FLYING INTO ACTION

Raven laughed, "Okay, let's see what you got" he said. I jumped at him and he jumped back. I swung my sword at him but I missed and he grabbed me by the neck again and threw me up into the air. But this time I kept my cool. I closed my eyes and focused on the pull of gravity. "If you focus hard enough on the pull of earths gravity you can use your energy to manipulate it" Ms.Pillar told me one day during training. I was never able to succeed at this but this time I'm determined.

I focused hard on the feel of the planets pull, what I thought was going to be easy I was totally unprepared for. Suddenly I felt everything in space itself. It was as if time had stopped as I flew higher into the air. I could pinpoint where the Sun was and how far it was just by feeling the pull of it. I could even feel Plutos gravitational pull and beyond that. It felt heavy, I tried to cope with it but it felt as if my mind was getting crushed. I yelled in pain and fought through it.

I snapped my eyes open and seen that I was.... I was.... I was FLOATING.  I was actually floating in midair. The pain in my head was gone and I felt great. I looked down to see the astonished look on Ravens face as he looked up at me. He then flew up to my altitude. "Suddenly you're not a chicken huh?" He said as he hovered a few feet away from me. I raised my sword up "no but I'll make you one" I threatened. Raven just shrugged "we'll see". All of a sudden Ravens flapped his wings towards me and a bunch of knife like metal feathers flew at me.

I formed a shield in front of me but the feathers sliced right through it. I swung my sword at the oncoming attack blocking most of the feathers but one hit me in the stomach while another got my in the shoulder. I grunted in pain but kept my guard up. Raven charged at me screaming. He jabbed his sword at me but I blocked it with my own. I then head butted him into the nose causing him to float back in pain. I raised my arm out at him and shot a fire ball at him.

But with one flap of his wings he blew it away. "Let me show you real magic!" He yelled. He then swung his sword towards me and slash of purple fire barreled into me knocking out of the sky and onto the dock again. Raven came crashing down at me but I rolled out of the way before he landed onto me. I leaped to my feet and shot a bolt of electricity at him. I struck him on the side and he yelled in pain. He looked pissed now, he leaped at me and swung his sword at my head but a narrowly dodged it.

"I don't care what Majesta told me" he said as he kept swinging his sword at me. I was barley able to dodge and block his attacks. "Im going to kill you" he threatened. "Leave him alone" I heard Derek yell as he rushed over to try and help. He looked so sick and tired, it was like looking at a zombie. "DEREK DON'T!" Sandra screamed. But it was to late, Raven looked his way and shot a single feather his way.

Derek tried to dodge it but it scrapped the side of his head. "To slow" Derek yelled as he leaped up and kicked Raven in the side of the head. Raven didn't even flinch. He grabbed Derek by the shirt collar and while my guard was down kicked me square in the chest sending me falling back. "You die first" Raven said. He raised his sword at Dereks throat, he was going to stab him but stopped for a second. He took the tip of the blade away from Dereks neck and looked at him with a bewildering expression. "What's wrong with you? I didn't sense this from you before" Raven said.

Derek then punched Raven in the eye and pulled free, staggering back away from him. I got up and jumped at Raven stabbing him in the chest. "You're done" I grunted as Raven dropped his sword. He grabbed me by the shoulder and pulled me close. "Your friend, I suggest you keep an eye on him" he whispered in my ear. I honestly didn't know what he was talking about, but I didn't care either. I summoned fire upon my blade and Raven lit up like a fire work. "AHHHH" he screamed as I took the blade out of his firey body.

I witnessed all his flesh melt off until all that was left was his metal bones and wings. Some how he still was able to run away and leap into the ocean, he was gone. I sighed with relief and put my sword back into its scabbard. Sandra and Brandon both ran to my side. "That was amazing" Brandon said. "Are you okay?" Sandra asked, I nodded my head. "Yeah I'm alright". Derek picked up Ravens sword that he left behind. "Cool a souvenir" he said smiling. I looked at the cut on his head, I didn't know if it was the lighting or what but instead of red I seen........ black? "You okay Derek?" I asked. He looked at me and smiled "yeah I'm okay" he said as he wiped the blood from his head. I smiled a fake smile to not seem worried. "Your friend, I suggest you keep an eye on him" was Raven on to something?

"Let's hurry and get out of here, the cops will be here soon" Sandra said. "I agree" Brandon said. We then made our way off the docks onto the streets. We were running through an alley way to get there. "So what now?" Derek asked as he ran ahead of all of us trying to fit his new sword into his belt. "I'll explain on the way" Sandra said. "But we are on the way" Derek pointed out. But before they could continue we made it out to the streets, and what we saw was breath taking. All the buildings were broken, some burned down some still burning even totally destroyed ones. There were dead bodies of soilders littered on the road along with flipped over cars and tanks. It was like a war had gone on.

"What happened here?" Brandon asked. "I don't know" I answered, suddenly a large hologram of Majestas face appeared in the sky. "ATTENTION,  THIS IS YOUR NEW RULER MAJESTA" it yelled. "AS OF THIS MOMENT I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY TAKEN OVER THE EARTH, ANY OF YOU WHO HAVE SURVIVED MY ATTACK WILL JOIN ME OR BE KILLED.  BUT ON A LIGHTER NOTE I ALSO HAVE A JOB FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE. THERE IS A BOY IM SEARCHING FOR, HE GOES BY THE NAME TOBY" a hologram of me then showed in the sky.

"IF YOU FIND HIM BRING HIM TO ME AND I'LL REWARD YOU GREATLY, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES" the hologram then disappeared. We all gave each other fearful looks. "You don't think she....." Brandon asked. I nodded my head "yeah, she did, Majesta has taken over the world".
