Josh's POV
"Josh," the familiar voice of Tobi mutters as he sits next to me. "Hmm?" I hum in response. "You alright man?" He asks. "Yeah," I nod. "Why?" I ask. "You seem depressed." He points out. "I'm fine." I sigh. "Josh... I've known you for far too long. I know when you're not okay, and you're not okay." He says. A sigh escapes my lips. "Tobi. I'm fine. I promise." I say. "Come on man..." Tobi sighs. "What?" I ask. "You're clearly not okay," he says. "What's wrong man?" He asks.
Fucking hell, he's persistent.
"It's nothing. Just something petty." I sigh. "If it's petty, then why're you so depressed looking?" He asks. "It's petty, but it's bothering me." I say. "Oh." He hums. "Just don't worry about me. I'm fine. Like I said, it's just something petty." I weakly smile at him. "Okay." He nods.
"Anyway, I'm going home now." Tobi says as he stands up. "Lucky you." I mutter. "Aren't you?" He asks. "I'm waiting for lover boy Simon." I sigh. "Unlucky." Tobi chuckles. "I know." I lightly laugh. "Well, see you tomorrow man." He says as he grabs his coat and bag. "See you tomorrow." I smile at him. Tobi smiles back at me before walking out.
. . .
"I'm fine."
"I'm okay."
"I'm alright."
"It's just something petty."
. . .
"I'm not fine."
"I'm not okay."
"I'm not alright."
"It's not something petty."

Simon's POV
6:40PM. Time to go.
A sigh escapes my lips. "You've gotta go, haven't you." Jessica sighs. "Yeah." I nod. "But remember, I'll be back very soon. Sooner than you think." I say as I stand up. Our hands still laced together. "Okay." She nods. "You'll be fine, won't you?" I ask as I lean down and hug her. "Yeah. Of course I will." She hums. "Good, good." I smile softly.
I plant a small, soft kiss on her cheek before standing back up. "See you soon, dear." I hum softly. "See you soon, Si." She smiles warmly at me. I smile back at her before walking out the room, making sure to close the door behind me.
. . .
"Home time. Finally. Time for pizza. Time to lie in my bed. Time to watch Netflix."
. . .
6:55PM.
"Josh?" I question as I walk into the break room. "Yeah?" He asks. "You're still here?" I question. "Well, how am I meant to get home without you?" He asks. "Oh shit. Sorry." I lightly chuckle. "It's fine." He smiles. "Lets go then." I say as I throw my coat on. "Yeah, lets." He sighs.
