Episode 9

The Camping Trip

The sun is rising in the sky. A new day has began. Each team were gathering together at their respective school, waiting for the others. The meet up was at Kaijo High, 8 in the morning. The coaches of Seirin, Kaijo, Touou, Shutoku, Yosen, and Rakuzan had a meeting and planned a month joint-training camp to better enhance their players, and also for the sake of understanding, exchanging information and uniting the schools in terms of sports. Who would think that these coaches were also teammates back when they were players?

Flashback.....

The Seirin coach, Aida Riko, with her father went inside the SpiderWeb, a famous cafe in the east of tokyo, to meet the other coaches. When she arrived, she saw Genta Takeuchi, Kaijo's coach; Masako Araki, Yosen's coach; and Masaaki Nakatani, Shutoku's coach. Big names in one table. Kagetora Aida went near them, greeting them with a pat on the back. They sat next to each other and waited for the two remaining coaches to arrive. Riko was silent, checking her phone. Kagetora was laughing and talking with the Shutoku coach who was groaning in annoyance. His old friend never changed even back then. They chatted away, Masako sometimes comment. The Kaijo coach was only watching them in silence, sometimes glancing at the Yosen coach. Minutes later, two guys went to their table and sat with them. Riko glanced at the two and saw Katsunori Harasawa, Touou's coach; and Eiji Shirogane, Rakuzan's coach. When all the actors were complete, they started the discussion.

"So we are all here to discuss about the joint training." Eiji Shirogane started.

"We all agreed at the location which is the mountain first then by the sea where we trained last interhigh and winter cup." Riko followed.

"All we needed to discuss is the date and budget that we will be needing." Masako said leaning her head on her hand.

"A few helpers would be good too." Katsunori suggested.

"How about we invite a few graduates we had?" Masaaki asked.

"That's good if they're not busy." Genta said. They continued as they agreed on one thing to another, teasing the other and listing their needs and training that they would probably do. You can say that it ended up pretty good. well... sort of.

"Will you stop that? you're being annoying right now Tora!" Masako yelled, Masaaki holding her, stopping her from hitting him with her shinai, grabbing some of the attentions of the customers inside.

"Masa, calm down." He said to the raging coach. Riko irked, getting a paper fan herself, hitting her father that made them surprised.

"If you came with me to play around then go home. We're having an important meeting in here." she said calmly. Kagetora cried of crocodile tears and sulk in the corner. The coach's continued discussing without minding him.

End of Flashback

Currently, the Seirin team are already riding the bus going to Kaijo High. The second years were having a chat and some of the first years were asleep. The shadow and her light were sitting in silence, nigou on her lap. The captain and the coach were discussing as usual. When they arrived, they saw the Kaijo players and greeted them.

"Hello, Seirin~ssu!" said the bubbly blond girl running to them. Riko stared at her, thinking who she is. The girl halted when kasamatsu called her. They talked for a while and kasamatsu blushed when she laughed. Riko raised her eyebrows. 'okay?'

The shadow walked beside Kagami, nigou followed behind. When they passed by the Kaijo's ex-captain, Kise grabbed Kagami almost immediately.

"Kagami-cchi! waahhh! I missed you!! ssu~" She shrieked, hugging the dark red head. Kagami was confused as to who she is.
