How they actually began
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Seirin High
After the announcement of Kuroko's emergence. The team was pretty much in panic. They don't even know where to start.
After school practice, kuroko was at the sidelines, watching her teammates. She was yet to perform any strenuous exercise for a month as per her doctor's advice. She only moved her legs in impatience and hugged her dog who was also whining. As for the current players, they are being very wary for their shadow player who are staring at them with puppy dog eyes.
Please don't look at us like that!! They all thought.
Kagami looked at her, thinking on how to console the whining girl. ah! He called her over.
"sit on my back while I do push ups. okay?" he suggested and she nodded. The team watched the two and thought of nice moves to comfort her as well..
Time to go home, the two always walked together but today is unusually quiet. kagami dragged kuroko inside maji burgers and order his usual including hers then sat in one of the vacant seats. As he started chowing down, he asked the girl what was making her glum.
"is it because that you can't play basketball anymore?" he asked in between his bites. Kuroko stared at him with bored eyes.
"that's one of the reasons, but I also can't be with you as much as I want like when we're inside the court." kagami looked at her in confusion.
"Why? I know it sucks now that I don't have you inside the court but we can always hang out together outside right? there's also street basketball if you want." he said like it was pretty obvious. But she only looked sadder and stared outside the window. The red head looked perplexed and scratched his head, hoping for an idea to pop up.
"it's okay kagami-kun. I already accepted it that I can't play basketball with you just because I turned into a female. I am just regretting on how I can't be with you when the time comes that you really need me inside the court." She said, sipping her vanilla milkshake. And just like that, they both went home.
Kagami lie down on his bed in deep thought on how to at least get her to smile again. Everyday, the two goes to school together, him getting her from her house; eat lunch together, going to the gym and walking home. They always did things together so he thought he already has a grasp on how the shadow always acts.
It's been two weeks since they first thought on how to make the shadow happy again, so the team organized a meeting without kuroko.
"sigh, seriously, our team is in danger. Kiyoshi for one is going to be away and now Kuroko can't play. It's a huge impact for us. But the bigger problem now is how to make him not sad anymore." Hyuuga said in distraught, the others nodded. They think and think and think, but their brainstorming result was close none. Until their coach came in and was surprised by the atmosphere surrounding the boys. They look so dread like someone just died.
"what are you idiots doing?"
"we're thinking on how to make our shadow glow in deLIGHT. good job me." Izuki said in a very serious tone.
"go die Izuki." hyuuga said.
"oh don't worry about that. i'm going with kuroko-chan this saturday to help her buy clothes and other women stuff so get up there and go to the gym so we can start practice." she said and went outside the room. all of them looked at the door where their coach just went then to each other.
