Colson

I'm not gonna lie. I was scaried to death right now. I mean I could open the door and their could be some deranged fan on the other side of it. The more I thought the more the scratching continued and became more frantic. I couldn't wait anymore. I drew my gun and threw the door open. Only to be met with a dog. It was large chocolate doberman.

"Seriously?!" I said,"you guys can come out now." I said chuckling to myself as I locked the door back.

"Colson is everything..." Jane started

"You guys it was just a dog." I laughed

"Oh wow, he must have been trying to find a warm place to stay." Jane said

"Yeah he looks cold and hungry." Casie said as she slowly approached him.

"Well we can't put him back outside. Its too cold for him. He doesn't have any fur." Casie stated petting him

Jane

I looked at Colson and Colson looked at me. Now Casie and the doberman were both looking at us.

"Well, I guess he can stay." I said and Casie's face lite up.

"Yeah, until we find his owner." Colson stated.

Casie's face fell and I could tell she was about to get upset.

"Look Case, we can keep him til we find who he belongs to and then we have to give him back. We can't just keep someone else's dog. It's wrong." Colson explained.

"I know." She sighed

"Ok well lets get him some food and some water. I think I have an old blanket he can use to sleep on." I stated

By the time we got him all settled in. I looked at the clock and it was 12am.

"Well I think we've had enough excitement for one night. I think its time to go to bed."

"But we didn't finish the movie." Casie protested

"I know kiddo but Mom's right. That is unless you don't wanna go out and have a snow ball fight with your uncle's." He said

"Your right! I need to get my rest. I'm going to cream them. Good night, I love you guys." She said as she made her way up the stairs.

"We love you too. Don't forget to wash your hands." I called up to her.

"Man she sure is something else." Colson said as he combed his hands through his hair.

"What are we gonna do if no one claims him? I mean he doesn't have a collar or anything." I said

"I guess we will just deal with that when we come to it. Right now I think he's fine and I think we should head off to bed." He said

"Your right. I'll take pictures and post them on our social media tomorrow. Maybe someone with recognize him."

"Good idea. Let's hit turn in." He said
