Jane

By now I was particularly hysterical! What was I gonna tell Colson? Would he blame me for losing the baby? Would he leave me now since I couldn't have children with him? I had so many thoughts running through my head. I was so upset. Now the door was opening and it looked like another nurse was walking in.

"Hi, I'm your ultrasound tech. Are you ok?" She asked

I sat up quickly on the bed.

"A tech was just in here. She told me my baby died!" I cried out

"What!? That's impossible!" She said in a shock.

"Yes, it is she told me!" I weeped

"Mrs. Baker, there must have been some kind of misunderstanding. I'm the only ultrasound tech in this office. What did she look like?" She asked

My blood ran cold. What the fuck! If she's the only tech in this office then that means some nut job just came in here off the street and walked into my exam room and touched me.

"She had shoulder length dark brown hair, olive complexion, glasses, and she was wearing blue scrubs and a mask around her mouth and nose because she said she had a cold." I explained

"I'm going to get the doctor!" She said running out of the room in a panic.

When she came back she not only had my doctor and my nurse, but Colson was also with them.

"Colson!" I cried.

He came over to the exam table and took me into his arms. He pulled away to look at me again.

"Baby whats wrong!?" He asked

I couldn't get the words out and now I was sobbing uncontrollably.

"What did you do to my wife!" He yelled at the doctor

"Mrs.Baker please lay back down. We would like to get another look and see what's going on." She said

This time instead of seeing a blank screen I could see movement and I could hear a heart beat.

"Call security!" My doctor instructed

The nurse ran out to make the call as the doctor and the ultrasound tech continued to look at the screen.

"Can someone please tell me whats going on here!?" Colson asked

"Someone came in here and I thought she was an ultrasound tech. She told me the baby died." I said trying to calm myself down.

"Seriously! What kinda fucking hospital is this!? Do you just allow any wack job  to walk in off the street and upset your patients!?" He said raising his vocie

"No sir, this has never happend before. Ultrasound techs are not allowed to give you any information when they are taking images. They only take imagines and then share results with the doctor. I had my nurse call security and we're getting this whole place locked down. Aside from that, Mr and Mrs.Baker, I assure you that the babies are doing just fine." She informed

"See baby, everything is ok. Wait did you say babies? Like as in more than one? Plural?" Colson asked

"Yes sir, your having twins! Congratulations!" She replied

Colson and I looked at each other in shock. Along with everything that just happened we were now officially stunned. Twins!

Colson

On the ride home I drove with my right hand on her stomach. We were both still in shock that we are having twins. The doctor informed us that the babies were doing very well but now Jane had more to worry about with her medical condition and twin pregnancies are high risk.

Now we were going to have to prepare for two babies. Our friends and family will be so happy when they find out. Their going to love the two of them to death just like they love Casie. That's the one thing I know that my children will never have to worry about. Jane and I are completely surrounded by people who love and care for us no matter what.

Since all that crazy shit happened at the doctor's office today. Jane threatened to drop her as her doctor because she felt unsafe at her office. She wanted to make things right so now she will be making at home visits instead. Of course Jane was satisfied with the out come and even more pleased that now she wouldn't have to leave the house.

"You ok baby? Can I get you anything?" I asked as we walked through the door.

"No, I'm good. I just really tired after all of that drama. I'm glad the babies are ok. What kind of sick person does that? I mean she made me think our baby died." She questioned

"I have no idea. I'm just glad that we never have to go back there again. I was ready to fuck every body in that hospital up. I feel totally responsible for that happening to you." I said

"Why?"

"Because I should've been there. I could've protected you from that nut job. If I had been there none of that would've happened."

"Colson, its ok. I'm ok and the babies are ok. Everything is going to be ok." She yawned

"I know baby. Why don't you go take a nap and when you get up we can go out to eat."

"Ok, I love you."

"I love you too."

Jane went into the bedroom and I plopped down on the couch. I turned on the TV and started watching MTV. I quickly got bored and took out my phone. I was checking my email when I got a text.
