Colson

I had to be as white as a ghost right now. I had to be hallucinating or something because there was no way I was hearing Jane. I slowly turned around to see her sitting in a wheelchair staring at me. I wiped my eyes a few times just to be sure.

"Wow, you that surprised to see me?"

"I thought, I thought you.." I felt tears welling up in my eyes.

"I know but I'm here now." She cried.

I wrapped my arms around her neck and cried. I kissed her as many places as I could. I couldn't believe she was here. I thought for sure I had to be dreaming or hallucinating or something, but then the nurse called out to her.

"Mrs. Baker! We have been looking for you everywhere. How did you even get up enough strength to get down here?"

"I had to see my babies." She cried

"I understand that Mrs. Baker but right now isn't a good time. After the night you had you need bed rest."

"Please, please just let me see my babies and then I'll go."

With Jane being in the wheelchair she couldn't see into the window so she had no idea the babies were in the NICU hooked up to so many machines and monitors. I know we talked about it but there's no way she was prepared to see them like this. They were hooked up to way more machines than they normally would've been had Jane carried them to term. The nurse looked at me and I looked at her. Neither of us knowing what call to make. I guess we took too long make a decision because Jane pulled herself up on the ledge of the window and saw them.

"My babies!" She cried out.

"Mrs. Baker, I'm gonna take you back to your room now." The nurse said as she tried to get Jane back into the wheelchair.

"No, no, no! I can't leave them. Please Colson don't make me leave them."

"Jane, calm down. Let the nurse take you back to your room. I'll come with you, ok." I said placing her back into the chair.

She wanted to fight with us. She wanted to protest but I could tell she just didn't have the strength. So she gave in and the nurse started wheeling her away as I followed behind them.

Jane

I ended up staying in the hospital for a week after I was attacked by Gina's crazy ass. The twins still had to stay a lot longer and Colson and I were upset that we had to leave them. It didn't feel right coming home without them.

Colson and I pulled into the drive way and I couldn't keep myself from tensing up when I saw the house. This was my dream home and now I was afraid to step foot back inside it again.

"It's ok." Colson reassured me as he crest my hand.

Colson got out of the car and I just sat there unable to move. He walked over to my door and opened it to let me out.

"I don't think I can go back in there Colson." I said.

"I understand and so do the guys. That's why we aren't going to stay there. We can stay with the guys. They have enough room for us at least until the twins come home. And if you still don't wanna go back then we will figure something else out. I promise." He said softly.

I nodded my head and got out of the car. Colson held my hand as we walked into the back yard to get to the guys house. I could hear Casie's laughter. She was playing with Gunner. When Colson and I got closer they both stopped and ran to us.

"Mom! I'm so glad your home!" She cheered.

"And I am glad to be home." I said as I hugged her.

"I wish the twins got to come too. Uncle Slim said their still too little to leave the hospital." She sighed.

"Yeah but hopefully we will get to bring them home really soon." Colson said trying to lighten the mood.

After that Slim and Dub came out to greet us. We all went back inside and talked for a little while. Sometime later I had decided to take a nap with Casie so I went to lay down. I ended up waking up to Colson wrapping his arms around. He was literally clinging to me, more than he ever has before.

Being stalked and attacked by Gina changed our lives. The whole time I was in the hospital all of our friends walked on eggshells around me. They didn't mention Gina's name or the attack. They only focused on getting me better and bring the twins home.

Ashleigh made sure the media didn't get a hold of any of the information about what had happened. You couldn't even Google it. The guys made space for us at their house and got a security system installed after they swore they would never get one. Colson even swallowed his pride and hired the security team to come back and work for us.

I knew after this everything would change. Rook even suggested that maybe we move again. I could tell Colson was all for the idea but right now I couldn't make a decision like that. My life had changed at the blink of an eye. Change has never been easy for me amd under these circumstances it was even harder. I was still trying to process everything. I mean I died on the operating table. The twins were still in the hospital after being born way too early. Our family almost lost all 3 of us. And now I may have to walk away from the house we had made home.
