1D One Shots/Sickfics

After the first live show the boys of One Direction did, all of them were absolutely buzzing. They couldn't wait to do it again the next week! However, maybe the next time wouldn't go quite so smoothly...

Everything went well up until soundcheck. They loved their song, and they all knew it well. All of them​ were a bit nervous, but they were confident they could do well. They began the song, but during Liam's solo, Harry realized that something was off. He suddenly felt very uncomfortable, and his entire body flashed blazing hot, then icy cold, and then hot again. As Liam concluded his part and it was time for Harry to come in, he began to feel really sick. He was sure that if he opened his mouth, he would throw up, so instead he put a hand over his mouth and tried to take deep breaths through his nose. He really didn't want to get sick; he wanted to sing!

When Harry didn't come in for his part, everyone stopped in confusion. What was happening? Did he forget his line? When Liam, who was next to Harry, looked over and saw his youngest bandmate looking incredibly pale and shaky, with a hand over his mouth, he got concerned. Putting a gentle hand on Harry's shoulder, he spoke quietly so no one else could hear.

"You alright, Harry? Are you feeling ill?"

Harry's eyes just filled with tears. He still​ felt like he was about to vomit. He didn't know what was happening. He hadn't felt sick until they started practicing, so maybe it was stage fright, but he'd never had it this bad before, so he didn't know. All he knew was that he felt awful and he didn't want everyone crowding around. He looked up at Liam and shrugged, one lonely tear escaping and making a trail down his cheek.

Despite the unhelpful response, Liam, and Niall behind him, could tell that Harry was obviously not feeling well. His face was pale, and he still had one hand clamped over his mouth. Niall, who was pretty worried, came closer and pulled Harry into a hug. Harry slumped into the embrace, feeling bad for himself, but also upset about ruining sound check. By that time, the vocal coaches had also caught on to what was happening and were making their way over to the cluster of teenage boys on the stage.

Liam and Niall were right by Harry, Niall still holding him in a hug, while Zayn and Louis looked on from nearby, trying not to crowd them as the vocal coaches came to figure out what was wrong. One, a woman, put her hand on Harry's forehead to determine if he had a fever, while the other talked to Liam to find out if he knew what had happened.

When they couldn't pinpoint what was wrong with Harry, the two adults determined that it was best to have him see a doctor. There was no point in him staying at sound check anyhow, as he was unable to perform. Liam fought to go with him, but was informed that he had to stay so that the rest of One Direction could stay and finish sound check for the show the next evening. (A/N I don't know if this is the proper timing, but I'm making it this way for the purpose of my story)

The remaining four boys picked back up with their sound check, though rather less enthusiastic. Liam was wishing he could be with Harry, Niall was wondering why he had felt so suddenly ill, Zayn was worried and hoping Harry would be back to perform, and Louis...Louis just couldn't keep his attention on singing anymore. When they finished, they went back to the contestants' house, where they all just found ways to pass the time until Harry got back, none of them being very interested in having fun until they knew what was going on with their curly-haired friend. Liam and Niall were in the lounge area, chatting a bit about Harry and their performance the next day, Zayn was taking a nap, and Louis was texting his mum while laying in bed.

When Harry finally arrived, three of his bandmates came running to meet him, while the fourth was still distracted upstairs.

"Harry! You're back! How are you?" The shouts of the excited, but worried three teenagers echoed through the house.
