Chapter 23

Camila's POV

"She's gotten so much bigger." Lauren mumbled as I walked towards her while carrying Camren in my arms.

"Yeah, she has." I smiled just as I reached her. "Can you hold her while I greet everyone?"

"No. Put her in the kennel. Zendaya already put hers in there." She pointed to where Zendaya's pup was playing with Amy's.

"No. It's all the way in the corner and away from everybody!" I whined. I just arrived at the party, late might I add since Zendaya was taking her time getting ready.

"That's the point of us putting the kennel there, so that they aren't in our way." Lauren said as she grimaced when Camren started trying to wiggle from my grip.

"She wants to say hi! Give her a kissy Camren!" I said in a baby voice while I raised the pup towards Lauren. Lauren's eyes widened before she pushed her face away from her.

"Eww no!"

"Oh come on, Lo! She missed her other mama!" I cooed.

"She's not my dog, she's yours. Now, until it is in the kennel and you washed your hands, I am going to go talk to the girls." She walked away from me.

"It's okay, baby, she loves you." I told Camren before I walked over to the kennel and opened the gate to put her inside. I didn't want to leave her here because it was literally in the corner of Amy's backyard, away from everyone. Sure they had their necessities in here, but I felt bad leaving them alone here. I sighed before I walked away and went inside to wash my hands.

  When I walked back into the backyard I finally took a look at the decorations. It was really adorable. Right beside the door there was a whiteboard with blue and pink markers so that we could draw tally marks under the words 'boy or girl.' Beside the whiteboard was a long table that was covered in both blue and pink table cloths. Placed on top were a bunch of snacks that were the same colors as the table cloths. Lets just say that there was a lot of pink and blue. I looked around the large backyard and saw everyone wearing either a pink or blue lei necklace. I want one, but where are they getting them from? My guess is that it is determined on what they thought the baby was. I looked around and realized that they were on my right underneath of a colorful sign that questioned what you thought the baby was.

"So, what team are you?" I snapped my head and saw Amy staring at me with a smile. She gestured for me to grab a marker and make a tally mark. I thought about it for a while before I shrugged.

"I'm going to have to go with a boy." I made a tally mark under the word boy. "Now can I get a lei necklace!?" I said excitedly. She chuckled and nodded. I quickly walked over to the table and grabbed a blue one. Once it was around my neck I smiled happily. I decide to greet everyone before I went out to find Lauren. There was quite an amount of people since it was all of our families, but luckily the backyard was spacious enough that it didn't get to crowded.

  As I was walking around the backyard, the gazebo caught my attention. It had different colored lanterns hanging around and a large sign that said 'the reveal', but what stood out was the large box hanging in the middle of it. The box was covered in a rainbow colored paint with question marks drawn all around. There were some colorful strings hanging from the bottom of the box. As I was about to ascend the few steps onto the gazebo a hand quickly grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.

"Don't you read Camz? Gazebo is off limits until it's time for the reveal." Lauren gestured towards a blackboard that was right beside me. I rolled my eyes before I gave her a kiss.
