《 Ellea's POV 》

ZANE drops me off at home and before I open my door he give me the sweetest kiss. I've been smiling all day because of him.

I'm eating dinner now and I really wish he was here with me. I text him and he calls me.

"Hey"

"Hey" I say smiling.

"What you doing?"

"Talking to my love" Zane says and I hear the smile in his voice.

I smile and say "Do you want to go on a date?"

"Like where we dress up and I pay as you and try an..."

"Yes a real date."

"Always. It'll be our first as a couple."

"When did we become a couple."

"Open your door." Zane says just as the doorbell rings.

I walk to the door and open it and open the door. I see a gut standing there with flowers.

I smile at say" You sent me a bouquet of flowers?"

"Read the card."

"Bring them in." I say and he drops them off. I take the card out and read it.

"Running is over. The finish line crossed. Jump in the chocolate chip bowl with me?"

I smile and say "You remembered the chips. I'll jump. I'm in. I've crossed. No more running. "

"Good. Now finish dinner and tip the guy." Zane says.

"You know me too well."

" I know now tip him finish dinner and come over to my place."

"Yes sire." I say giving the guy ten dollars and bidding him a good night.

I hang up the phone and finish dinner before I shower and get dressed for Zane's. I still can't believe he remembered the chocolate chip bowl. When we first met I told him about my dream of diving in a big bowl of chocolate chips and how I wanted to find my engagement ring in a bowl of chocolate chips when the time comes.

As I smooth down my t-shirt dress it hit me. That could be what he ment when he asked me to jump with him.

Did my best friend just ask for my hand in marriage?
