"Come on Jeremy, say goodbye to your mother." Jeremy's father hurried him so that his wife could rest.

Almost three weeks had passed since Reyen's sister, Hanna, had passed away and Jeremy visited him almost every day not only to be sure Reyen was okay but also to distract himself from his own situation.

This time, however, it was Reyen who was going to visit Jeremy.

"Hello Reyen." August, Jeremy's father, welcomed him.

"Reyen you're here!" Jeremy exclaimed coming to the door to welcome him. "Let's go to my room."

Unlike Reyen's house which was a two-store house, Jeremy lived in an apartment and so his house was only one floor. His room was at the end of the hallway on the left side, right in front of his parent's room.

"I have this new game where we have to defeat this big demon!" Jeremy exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Nice!" Reyen chirped in.

Reyen and Jeremy always had lots of fun whenever they were together and they always did different things so they never got bored. Jeremy was an only son so he always felt lonely playing by himself as for Reyen, let's just say girls and boys not always have the same tastes, so Jeremy and Reyen both enjoyed each other company and more than best friends they felt just like they were brothers.

Another week went by and everything seemed to be going just fine. Reyen and Jeremy were as close as ever and Jeremy's mother seemed to finally be getting better.

"Hello dear." August, kissed his wife on the forehead.

"Hey mommy." Jeremy let out approaching his mother and giving her a peck on her cheek. "You know, yesterday Reyen and I went to the park to play but then Reyen tripped and fell into one of the fountains but it was hot so it wasn't that big of a problem however one of the park guards saw us and we had to run away. It was really funny!" Jeremy started to babbler at an enormous speed.

"Hold it there champ." his father said. "Or else your mother won't understand."

"Don't worry dear. I understood everything." she exclaimed pinching Jeremy's cheeks. "So then did you get away or were you caught by the evil guard?" joining in on the fun, Layea, addressed her son.

"You two are really mother and child." with a sigh, but flashing a smile, August said. "I'll leave you two alone while I go talk to the doctor."

As soon as her husband left Layea turned to her son wanting to know more.

"So what else do you have to tell me?"

Jeremy thought for a moment but then looking at his pale mother he decided he wanted to hear her.

"How about you mommy?"

"Me?" surprised about her son's action Layea was left speechless for a moment. "Let's see, my last neighbour snored really loudly, it was impossible. Between you and me I think she was an ogre posing as a human." Layea laughed and Jeremy followed her, however sensing something wasn't right she turned to her son. "Jeremy, honey, could you go get me a glass of water. I'm very thirsty."

"Yes, of course. I'll be right back." and hurrying to accomplish his mother's wish he left the room closing the door behind him.

On his way a number of nurses passed by him in a hurry but Jeremy paid them no mind, after all it was a hospital there was always someone hurrying around. When he reached the hallway of his mother's room after getting a glass of water from the cafe in the hospital, he noticed the door was opened when he was pretty sure he had closed it, maybe father had come back.
