Stacy's POV:
Once I arrived in my house I made sure each door and window was locked before going about my routine. Making a sandwich, seeing what's on TV, getting changed into more comfortable clothes before lounging to watch the TV again. The same old boring routine. I turned the light on in the lounge seeing it flicker and then go out again. Great. The guy came to fix it yesterday. Called himself an electrician huh? This wasn't the first time I was fooled by people like that. Thanking them and paying them when they did the most useless thing either doing nothing or making the problem worse. I bet they all know where I live by the amount of times I've fell into the trap. I heard knocking on the door and sighed getting up and reaching for my phone.Lin's POV:
After half an hour of waiting outside I mustered up the courage to knock on the door. Yes, it took that long for a Tony award winning actor to get the confidence to talk to a girl he didn't know existed yesterday. As the time passed after knocking I began to worry I got the wrong house or she was showing me up. Slowly the lock clicked and I relaxed seeing her.Stacy's POV:
I opened the door slowly, phone recording in hand till I saw who it was.
"Lin?"
"Hi. Can I come in?"
"Uh y-yeah sure."
I smiled weakly and moved out the way to let him in my house. Lin. My house. It was silent for a while till he decided to speak up.
"So why did you run away?"
Well that caught me off guard. "Um... I just got some bad news."
He sighed. Was the lie that obvious?
"Oh, do you want to talk about it?"
"I-I'm fine."
He nodded. Determined. I didn't catch why he appeared so confident walking in to a strangers house but I had a feeling he wasn't letting on all that he knew.
"Can I offer you a drink? Tea? Coffee?"
Or anything to get me out of here?
"Coffee would be great thanks."
He lightly smiled for about a millisecond. I barely caught it. I smiled back even though he clearly couldn't see me, he was on the sofa with his head on his hands staring at the worn out carpet. Not me.Lin's POV:
Why is she lying to me? I didn't even know what the truth was but if or sure knew she couldn't get bad news so bad she ran away in a few seconds. I simply stared at the ground as she left, smiling lightly to try and cheer myself up. A technique my grandmother taught me before she passed away. But this girl was confusing me more than ever and it was annoying for me to be unable to keep away from her. But just before she closed the door... a smile! Hallelujah. I thought, at least she doesn't hate me. I heard the kettle brewing and flick off. Shortly she returned with two coffees, which I smiled at with my crazy mind teasing her: both for me? You are too kind! What confused me more though was that I never felt the need to tease Vanessa whom I've known for years but straight away I do with this girl. I don't even know her name! I glanced around the room before taking my coffee out of her quivering hands, noticing the numerous acting, singing and dancing certificates on the shelves. Stacy Woods. Huh. She sat down on the sofa at a right angle to where I was and politely smiled. I returned the smile and sipped my coffee pulling a face of shock as she laughed at my reaction. THIS IS GOOD COFFEE!Stacy's POV:
His reaction was hilarious. After working in the Dalawa, one of the most expensive and posh restaurants in London, I never forgot their stunning coffee recipe. Tricks of the trade. I thought to myself.
"Stacy?"
Shit. I zoned out. Hang on. How did he know my name? I never told him.
"Y-yes?"
"Are you okay?"
"H-how did you know my name?"
"You literally have photos of your family all around this room. And, more importantly, performing certificates."
He raised an eyebrow.
"Why didn't you tell me you could perform?"
Stay quiet.
"Does anyone know?"
He emphasised anyone making me flinch. Well, Sammy does but she hasn't told anyone and she can't really do anything to help my career so, I guess not?
"N-no..."
"Where do you work?"
"Theatre."
He sat down. Relieved.
"So they do know"
I shook my head.
"What?"
"I design the costumes."
"Wow. What show?"
"Miss Saigon."
Shit. I wasn't supposed to tell him that.
"See you tomorrow then."
He picked his hat up and left through the front door. Looking left and right before leaving and walking with his head down to keep a low profile. Tomorrow? Is he meeting me at the theatre? Will he make a big announcement? Oh no... I already receive attention for being such a klutz backstage, the last thing I need is for Lin-Manuel Miranda to walk in and chat to me whilst everyone is gaping at his stardom and the fact he is talking to me. Wait... Why is he even talking to me? I've seen him with fans, he smiles and greets them but definitely doesn't chase after them and knock on their front door. Well I guess fans don't run away. Hell though, why did he follow me all the way here? I cannot hide that I am a fast runner yet he seemed to catch up anyway and even then proceed to knock and invite himself in. He expressed a heavy interest in my talents and whether I was okay or not. I can't help but think that there is a lot more to this Lin-Manuel Miranda man than it seems. And I intend to solve this mystery quickly.AN: Hello! Another edit of previous one! See ya in the next chapter!
