Lin's POV:
Followed by a loud applause, I placed the ring on Stacy's finger and kissed her with such passion I heard Stacy's quite gasp and chuckled. Mrs Miranda. Stacy and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Lin-Manuel and Stacy Miranda. Mr and Mrs Miranda. Oh how the names fit. I carried her to the nearest taxi as she lay across both back seats in endless bliss, ignorant of the reality around her. She was too happy to care about life, now that's how to live perfectly. Moving to my seat in the the back I lifted her head to place on my lap and stroked her hair during the drive to the restaurant. Awaiting her reaction I laughed at her evident gasp.
"LIN IT'S THE DALAWA!!!"
"Yup. I booked the seating."
"LIN. IT'S THE DALAWA!!!"
"STACY. YOU ARE HILARIOUS. I KNOW"
She rolled her eyes and slapped me playfully as I grinned back. The waiter took us to the exact seats I booked, in the corner, next to a fish tank, with an epic view of London.
"I REMEMBER THESE SEATS! THIS IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE AREA TO BOOK!!!"
"Only the best for my fiancé"
"I love that name."
"Not as much as Mrs Miranda and Stacy Miranda though"
She laughed as we ordered our food.
"Any recommendations from a used-to-be-waitress?"
She smiled and pointed at the surprise meal of the day, which was £37.95. I called over the waitress
"Can we have two of the surprise meal of the days, two coffees-" Stacy smirked "-and a salad siding for the meal then later on two do it yourself ice-creams and apple crumble please." The waitress wrote his all down saying it would be a 30 minute wait. Which I then looked up to see Stacy's shocked face.
"Lin. That's more than £100 you're spending tonight."
"And the problem is?"
"Hmmm... How about money? Lin? Ever heard of it?" I laughed at her sarcasm and obliviousness.
"I think so... Yeah I got some after writing In the Heights... And some more for Hamilton... Not forgetting the small features in Moana, 21 Chump Street, Tick tick boom and Bring It on... Oh and there's the TV shows and series I've done too-"
"OK! I GET IT! We are fine. Let's go spend our money on everything!" She was clearly being sarcastic so I tested her:
"We could if you want Stacy..."
"I WAS KIDDING OH MY GOD! Wait... Can we?"
I burst out laughing as she realised I had just fooled her and groaned. But a few seconds later she pulled an evil grin,
"Ok, either I just did someone stupid or you're about to kill me..." I said as she laughed evilly, again.
"Mainly the first one." She grinned looking at the menu again.
"Wait... What's the surprise meal of the day Stacy? Answer me now...STACY!"
She burst out laughing as I took the menu off her.Meal of the day: £37.95
Spaghetti bolognaiseShe laughed as I groaned, completely switching from earlier.
"Staaaaccccccccyyyyy..."
"Yes Lin?"
"How am I supposed to eat spaghetti bolognaise and not get messy?"
"I don't know how are you supposed to eat spaghetti bolognaise and not get messy?"
"It's not a joke Stacy."
"Your reaction to the meal is." I laughed
"Touché touché."
The waitress returned with one huge plate of spaghetti and two forks, we both look at her questioningly as she explained
"Thought it would suit the moment more" and with a wink she left. Straight away I left the table and returned with about 12 napkins as Stacy thanked me for getting them.
"Oh no Hun, these are for me. I need 12 napkins, you need about one with your confidence in getting this meal." She laughed and returned with a napkin as we started our meal.Stacy's POV:
My fiancé was so cute eating the bolognaise, he had one hand gripping the fork as the other held tightly to the napkin just incase he dropped any food or got it on his chin since he desperately wanted to look posh in the restaurant. I couldn't blame him though, there were high standards here. All I did the whole time was pray that there would be no cliché Lady and the Tramp moment, in which I thanked the Lord later for sparing me the embarrassment. After the meal it was time for dessert and two do-it-yourself ice-creams were set in front of us with boxes of sprinkles, cream, chocolate shavings and fruit sauces to put on top. From previous experiences I knew the fruit sauce is always sticky and is hard to wash off so I purposely spilt a bit on Lin's hand
"Whoops! My bad!"
"Haha." He rolled his eyes and began to rub it off realising its stickiness. "Stacy, what is this?"
"Strawberry sauce." I replied in a teasing voice.
"STACY!"
I feigned a look of innocence as he scowled trying to rub the sticky sweet mess off his hand. Yeah, that just makes it worse.
"Hun, I love you and all, but sometimes you really do seem like your trying to annoy me." Oh really! Shock horror.
"Oh does it? What a pity since I totally wasn't trying to do just that."
He laughed at my clear sarcasm and eventually gave up with the stain. Sliding in a crude comment as he did so. He winked as I blushed furiously. He did not just say that, my face was redder than the strawberry stain on his hand.AN: So sorry for not posting but I have now reached a conclusion that my body will not let me function and do these updates daily since I get way too tired.
