Stacy's POV:
I was so excited. I had been obsessed with this musical to the point where I know almost all the lyrics and finally I'll see it with a ticket that's almost impossible to get. Wait...
"Lin?"
"Yeah Hun?"
"How did you get this ticket?"
"Stacy. I'm in the show. It is not hard for me to get tickets."
"Then how come the public pay so much for them?"
"Ratings are high. And I wrote it."
He said smugly. Tough guy huh? Let's see how long that lasts.
"Show off."
"Am not!"
He said pulling the funniest offended face I've seen in my life. I held back a laugh to continue my side of the conversation. I'm not giving up without a fight.
"Are too!"
"Prove it"
"Fine. Ellen show. Claw machine? Ring a bell?"
"I GOT THE AUDIENCE A TOY EACH!"
I laughed. Remembering an in the heights reference that would work perfectly.
"Hey little homie don't get so upset"
"Maaannnn ok let's stop that song we're watching Hamilton."
"I'm willing to wait for it..."
With that he rolled his eyes and put on a disc in the radio. Instantly I recognised it as the Hamilton mixtape. It started with Sia's Satisfied version. Nice.
"Thought we could listen to some good music..."
He said anticipating for a hit back. It took me a while to realise what he said to me but I got there in the end.
"HEY!"
"Nice Hamilton reference"
I groaned as he laughed and continued on with the torment,
"I see what you mean about quoting musicals, it's fun to wind you up"
"I am for you."
I muttered slowly. ,aye I can use some Shakespeare against this dude.
"Romeo and Juliet?"
"How did you know? There are so many lines from that play."
"Please. I am the king of Shakespeare's works."
"Bubble bubble toil and trouble?"
"Macbeth."
We pulled into the theatre car park. He winked, while opening my door to let me through slowly whispering,
"get homeboy a harder one next time."
With that he kissed my forehead and we entered the Richard Rogers Theatre. Honestly I was a tad worried since the cast seemed to hate me and Lin so anything could happen in this performance. Lin entered gripping my hand tightly as he led me to his dressing room. Groff sat inside eating a muffin.
"Jonny?"
He looked up as his eyes widened in shock seeing us both there, I don't blame him. It was a surprise visit.
"Oh shit! Lin get dressed and Stacy? Umm I would hide. No offence but your quite a celebrity here for all the wrong reasons."
I nodded as he indicated to a small kitchen area.
"Hide in here till I knock on the door. Okay?"
I nodded my head silently as I stepped in the kitchen and he closed the door behind me. I overheard muffled conversations and tried to hear through the door pressing my ear against the key hole almost receiving their words clearly.
"You're lucky I forgive you man, I swear this will be one of the longest shows in our lives"
"I know but she's watching me, I want to be there for her to let her see the full potential of our performance."
"You saying Javier's not good enough?"
"No, I'm saying I want her to see me. I know it sounds crazy but I can't stop thinking about her okay? The  quicker you understand that the quicker we can get the show going. No doubt the cast aren't making her feel welcome so it's mine and hopefully your job to help her feel like she's actually watching a show. Not eighth grade bullies watching her every move."
Jon let out a long sigh starting to pace around the dressing room,
"What row and number?"
"A9"
"Holy shit mate! The whole cast will see her! She's smack bang front and centre!"
"I put her there for a reason."
"What?"
"I want them to see her, I want them to see my loving looks in her direction, I want them to see my love for her since they don't believe my words."
Jon let out another sigh slowly smiling as he looked Lin in the eye and patted him on the shoulder.
"You're dang crazy man. But that's why I love ya."
Act 1 beginners to stage please, Act 1 beginners to stage.
"Let's go"
Lin left when I heard three knocks on the door opening it to see Jon. Smiling warmly at me, I could tell it was because of the quick pep talk with Lin but I smiled back anyway, for politeness.
"Better get in ya seat kid, enjoy the show!"
"I will thanks!"
I hurried to my seat as the curtains opened and the first face I saw was Anthony's glare from the wings. I took a deep breath as the chords sounded but Anthony's, Leslie's, Daveed's and Oak's eyes never left mine, it was hard to focus when they all were glaring at me. The audience must have noticed by now, I looked around but they seemed to be intently watching as if nothing was going wrong. Maybe I am imagining it? I looked back and felt their eyes on me even more than before, the song ended with the whole cast eyeing me as I struggled beneath their glares. How am I supposed to survive this for three hours? They sang the final harmony perfectly and I relaxed seeing Lin run on stage for the whole song this time. As long as Lin's up there, I'll be fine. At least, that's what I hope. His face seemed to lose all tension when he saw me smiling up at him and he enthusiastically played his role even making me laugh sometimes because he was way more energetic than usual. Once hearing my laugh he looked at me winking and I blushed, God... This man. This amazing, wonderful, talented man. What am I going to do with him?
