Lin's POV:
"And we're here! That'll be $30 please!"
"Jon, you're not a freaking taxi driver."
He got out of the car mumbling to himself a:
"Feels like it though"
I laughed before letting myself out and heading to escort Stacy from the car yet to see Jon had already opened the car door for her. An odd sense of possessiveness and jealousy washed over me but I brushed it aside, I can do without jealousy tonight of all nights. When Stacy left the car I held my arm out for her to hold onto a she rolled her eyes for my cringe factor but hey, I just want to know that she's near me.
When we entered the huge hall many famous Broadway actors were dancing with their spouse. Without trying I spotted the whole Hamilton cast dotted around the ballroom, it was hard to conceal my love for the cuteness of Anthony Ramos and Jasmine Cephas Jones dancing but I think I just about managed it. To satisfy my gentleman side I turned to Stacy and politely invited her:
"I hope you don't mind me asking but would a young lady as beautiful as you like to dance?"
She smirked at my posh voice and replied:
"It wouldn't mind me at all to dance with a such a handsome, refined gentleman as you."
I blushed at the comment and she laughed taking my hand to dance. As soon as Jon saw us he rushed up to the man playing the music and whispered something, since Jon always tries his best to be the most unpredictable I'll never know what. Suddenly When the Sun goes Down started to play and everyone cleared the dance floor noticing this was me and Stacy's song. I saw Jon give me a thumbs up out of the corner of my eye. Sneaky bastard.Stacy's POV:
Me and Lin slow danced for hours and hours. I knew he was good at the Latino dancing and all but... Wow. We didn't stop till I excused myself to get a drink to which he chuckled and escorted me to the bar.
"And what would you like Hun?"
"I don't know sweetie -"
He smiled,
"- perhaps you'll order for me?"
I batted my eyes as he rolled his eyes due to my cheesiness but willingly ordered for me. Two shot glasses were placed on the table with the historic Alexander and Eliza Hamilton. I raised an eyebrow and burst out laughing while he simply grinned in pride.
"And what might these be called sweetie?"
"Founders' Fizz's Hun."
"Am I allowed to quote Hamilton?"
He rolled his eyes,
"Do your worst:"
"Don't worry sweetie, I will."
He gasped when I stood on my chair tapping my shot glass with a spoon. Everybody started to turn to see the commotion so I began:
"Hear ye hear ye, my name is Stacy Woods and I present a toast to our union and the hope that we provide telling the story of tonight, and all of us have worked *sassy click* hard to be in the room where it happens and some of us for one last time. Many have brought their best of wives and best of women and many have brought their right hand man to join them in our deeply satisfying celebration. Although not all of the current stars are in this room and could say no to this amazing opportunity I'm sure when they hear of what comes next they'll be sure to wait for it and you'll be back too! Now for all of those people who just walked in thinking what did I miss I would like to draw the attention over to my fiancé, the man who makes me helpless and is my obedient servant when it comes to cleaning the house. Remembering back to the day we first met when I walked uptown and saw you, thinking pardon me, is that Lin-Manuel Miranda? And you looked after me making sure that would be enough and although when the cast first met me it was as if we were in the eye of a hurricane, after a while we settled it at Weehawken, dawn, guns drawn. Kidding! We only got to number seven! (Sorry) And we know that Lin's expertise is never in doubt and he never ceases to blow us all away I guess I'll never know how the world was wide enough but both Miranda and I managed to meet. It is quite entertaining to be a fiancé to Lin. I mean, when people in the streets are fangirling you can just say I know him and in his apartment you can go to his study thinking he wrote it down right there! Not forgetting the road rage of course: SIT DOWN JOHN, YOU FAT FOTHERMUCKER! And now the tomcat and me are getting married..."
I raised my glass:
"I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT!"
I downed the whole thing as everybody applauded, meanwhile Lin was laughing his head off at my speech.
"Did you like my speech sweetie?"
He held a finger up for me to wait while he continued laughing, eventually catching up on enough breath to answer my question.
"Fothermucker?"
"Yeah! I don't know how sensitive the people are here!"
"No need to defend it I love that word!"
He burst into a fit of laughter again as I noticed his shot glass was empty,
"Li-sweetie when did you have your shot?"
He raised an eyebrow to my quick save but continued
"When you took yours Hun."
I smiled kissing him on the cheek but he quickly moved so it turned into kissing him on the lips. I couldn't object of course I mean, who wouldn't want to kiss Lin? Chris came up behind us and started singing:
"LINNY AND STACY SITTING IN A TREE! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!!!"
Me and Lin turned to look at him and he laughed.
"I thought you were the worst at quoting my musicals Hun,"
"EXCUSE ME! DID YOU HEAR MY SPEECH? DO WANT ME TO WRITE A PAMPHLET?"
"Okay okay, still you Hun!"
Lin laughed as Chris came to pat me on the back
"That was an epic speech Stacy, certainly had Lin clutching the tissues when you talked about him."
I turned to Lin gasping dramatically as Lin blushed mumbling that it wasn't his fault and he couldn't help himself etc. but I didn't care. I made Lin cry tears of joy, another first in our relationship. Now I was told, I realised the tear stains on his cheeks and kissed them off trailing my lips to his. He caught me by surprise completely when he grabbed my face pushing it closer to his kissing me roughly yet purely out of passion. However Jon came, as he always does, to intervene:
"Break it up break it up! I'm your lift home so anything goes!"
Lin and me rolled our eyes at the same time to which he chuckled at and we got up to follow Jon to his car.
"You know Hun, when I first saw you and you were covered in puddle water, it was the most tragically beautiful occasion in my life."
"I bet! And you sweetie are beautifully tragic."
He rolled his eyes laughing as we cuddled with Jon's eyes in the wind mirror warning us to not do anything 'too heterosexual' in his car.AN: HHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See ya in the next chapter!
