"Thank you Maam and welcome to Manila." anang flight stewardess. Tipid siyang ngumiti at sumunod na sa mga kaibigan palabas ng aircraft.

"This is what you call "real summer vacation"!" bulalas ni Chelzie habang naglalakad sila.

"I agree." natatawa namang dugtong niya.

"This is adventure girls! Can't wait to explore Manila." ani Trisha

"Nakaka-excite!" dugtong ni Shean na ikinailing na lang niya.

"Girls, wait lang natin yung driver ng tita ko. Malapit na daw siya. Upo muna tayo." aniya sa mga kasama. Naupo sila sa waiting area ng NAIA. It's the last week of summer vacation and they managed to convince their parents to let them watch Darren's Major Concert in MOA Arena. And yes, they are watching D'Birthday Concert! Hooray! They are 2 days earlier since may balak silang gumala.

It was easy on her part kasi may tita siya na nasa Quezon City. Her friends made her convince their parents to let them go with her. Well, since she got this good girl image to them, they eventually allowed their daughters pagkatapos ng napakaraming katakot takot na mga bilin.

"Have you greeted him yet?" biglang tanong ni Shean sa kanya na ang tinutukoy ay si Darren. It's the 24th of May.

"Oo naman. I already posted on all my social media accounts." patay malisya niyang sagot kahit alam na niya ang tinutukoy nito.

"You know that's not what I meant." anito. Napabuntong hininga siya.

"No, I haven't." amin niya. It's been more than a month since their last encounter. She posted a generic happy birthday greeting to him on all her social media accounts but she never had the courage to DM him. She's scared of rejection. Natatakot siya na baka hindi ito magreply o baka tapusin na nito ang friendship nila. After ng pag-uusap nila ni Ethan 2 weeks ago, mas nag-alangan siyang mag reach out kay Darren. He never messaged her again and she's more than convinced that he already made his decision at isa pa, ayaw niyang magmukhang parang naghahabol dito.

Naghahabol ka naman talaga ah. Anang isip niya.

Ilang beses niyang sinubukang i-DM ito pero lagi siyang naduduwag. She would always tag him pag may mga posts siya about dito but he never responded and she took it as a sign. Why bother to DM di ba? Mas gusto pa nga niya yung ganito. Yung balik sa dati na simpleng fan lang siya. Malayo sa heartbreak kasi walang expectations.

"Why? I-greet mo na. Birthday naman niya eh." pamimilit ni Shean. She already told her friends what happened between her, Ethan, and Darren at sobrang thankful siya sa simpatiya ng mga ito. She's really lucky to have friends like them.

"I already tagged him. I think that's already enough." aniya

"No, it's not. You are friends for crying out loud. At sa dami ng nagtatag sa kanya ngayon, possible na hindi na niya makikita ang greetings mo." anito.

"We were friends." aniya na sadyang diniinan ang salitang "were". As in past tense.

"You are still friends. Don't be so ridiculous Nics. Message him." anito. She wouldn't give up, would she?

"No." pinal niyang sagot.

"Why?" bigla itong nagseryoso.

"Because I'm scared. Natatakot ako na baka hindi na siya magreply. At kung magreply man siya, natatakot akong malaman o maramdaman na hindi niya na ako gustong maging kaibigan." aniya na hindi alam kung naiintindihan ni Shean ang ibig niyang ipahiwatig.
