There was a knock at the door, which prompted Y/N to go up and open it. To her surprise, it was her boyfriend, Zach with a big cardboard box in his arms.

"What's with the box?" She smirked as she stood behind the door and made way for him to enter. "Is it a good surprise, I'm hoping?"

"Yeah, I think we'll both like it," Zach nodded his head as he set the box down on the floor. As soon as he did, a ball of fur was wagging its tail, trying to get someone's attention.

"You got a puppy?" She awed at the small puppy as she lifted it out of the box and started to play with it.

"She's adorable, isn't she?" Zach chuckled to himself as he kneeled down and held her paw, "I found her at the adoption shelter the guys and I volunteer at and I thought it would be nice to adopt her."

"Well, I can tell she and I going to get along just fine." Y/N laughed as she set the puppy down on the hardwood floor, not noticing what she was wearing on her collar.

"I thought you and I could come up with a name for her." Zach crawled to sit next to Y/N and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and brought her closer to him.

"I like the name 'Oreo'," she spoke up as she looked at the puppy walking around in circles, confused as it was trying to chase after her own tail.

"I like it," Zach softly smiled at her and pressed a kiss on her forehead, "Oreo it is."

"Here, Oreo," Y/N whistled for the puppy to come near her and Zach, "come here, girl."

Oreo immediately looked up and walked towards Y/N, who still did not notice the diamond ring on her collar.

"You are such a beautiful puppy, yes you are, yes you are!" She cooed at the puppy before stopping what she did and finally noticed the ring on Oreo's collar. "What's this on your collar?"

She carefully took the ring off of Oreo's collar and inspected it before she heard Zach clear his throat.

"Zach, did you do this?" Y/N spoke up, a smirk growing across her face.

Zach started to turn bright red, embarrassed of how it was going. "Will you marry me?"

"You know what my answer is, honey," she chuckled to herself before bringing him for a kiss. "Of course, I'd love to marry you, Zach."

"I love you so much, Y/N," Zach whispered as soon as he pulled away from the kiss, but their foreheads were still touching.

"I love you too, Zach," she smiled at her now-fiancé and brought him back in for another kiss, which was cut short due to someone barking...

"We love you too, Oreo!" They laughed together as they observed the little puppy wagging its tail, whining as it wanted their attention.
