Lucy's POV
We turned to leave the Scrambler when a bunch of teenage girls started screaming and running over to us. Obviously for Connor, not for me. Usually when the fans freaked out over Connor I was perfectly cool with it, but this sort of bothered me. It sounds controlling, I know, but I wanted Connor all to myself today. There were three of them: tall blonde with blue eyes, short brunette with hazel eyes, and a red head who was about my height.
"OH MY GOD!" the brunette screamed.
"You're-"
"CONNOR FRANTA!" the blonde interrupted the red head.
"Hi," Connor said casually, causing the girls to melt into a pool of fangirling. They just freaked out. I could tell Connor didn't know what to do, and it almost made me laugh. Until the brunette flung into Connor's arms and kissed him on the cheek. I glared at her but she didn't seem to notice, and neither did Connor.
"Here," the brunette said throwing her phone at me, "Make yourself useful and take our picture." I was getting ready to kill that girl but Connor shot me a pleading puppy dog face. I took their picture, it was blurry but I didn't care.
"Well, it was nice meeting you girls," I spat dragging Connor's arm, guiding him away, "But, uh, we gotta go-"
"Can you guys go on a ride with us?" the red head, the least annoying of the three, pleaded.
"Please?" the blonde pouted.
"Yeah, Connor, go on a ride with us," the brunette said rubbing Connor's arm up and down. I shot her a nasty look, she just rolled her eyes.
"One ride can't hurt, eh?" he said mostly at me. I just shook it off. One ride. I can get through one ride without murdering that brunette. I went to grab Connor's hand when the brunette pushed me out of the way, causing me to land on the floor.
"Luce, are you okay?" Connor rushed over to me.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I grunted. He offered his hand and helped pull me up.
"She's a little clumsy," Connor laughed.
"Connor!" I turned bright red as the three girls laughed. I crossed my arms over my chest and looked away from them.
"By the way, I'm Alicia," the flirt said.
"Oh and I'm Mary, and this is Chelsea," the red head introduced. I still refused to look at Connor and the girls. When those girls leave he's going to be in trouble. Unless they never leave. This will by far be the worst date ever.
Connor's POV
"Hey, let's go on the bumper cars!"
"Okay," I shrugged, "but I'm a little thirsty, I'm going to get some water first."
"Great, how about you guys get on line, and I'll go with Connor to get some water," Alicia said, placing her hand on my shoulder.
"Actually, you three get in line, me and my boyfriend can go get water," Lucy said practically pushing Alicia off of me. Lucy was getting pretty tense. I just shrugged and walked to the food stand with Lucy. I paid for the water and waited at the register. Why isn't Lucy looking at me. Uh-oh. What did I do?"
"Luce?" She ignored me. "Lucy," I repeated. She still ignored me. "Lucy?" I said sounding desperate. She looked over at me. Her eyes were cold and whispered hatred. They began to water.
"Lucy, what's wrong?"
"It's just... This was supposed to be a special date, just for me and you, and that whore keeps making moves on you, and you're just sitting there not even doing anything about it, and worse, you're making fun of me, which just gives her permission to make fun of me and make me feel insecure, and if they're going to be with us for the rest of the day then I may as well just hop on an early flight and leave." The words stung a little. I was hesitant to speak. I didn't know what to say. I could see the tears forming and beginning to glide across her cheeks.
