"Y/n!, WAKE UP!" Valentina screamed
I quickly sat up to scared to say anything.
Valentina giggled seeing my reaction, and started to brush my hair, I winced at the pain considering how tangled it was.
"Why did you do that for?" I said rubbing my eyes
"You have an hour until we leave for school girl, you need to get up!" She smiled
I lifted the covers off my body and walked to my closet, I quickly picked out a casual outfit .
"Girl looking cute today?, impressing anyone?" Valentina said with a smirk
"Val you my best friends and all but you would know,I don't have any crushes on any of the guys at school, their too rude or they're not just my type." I laughed
"Yeah, I know. I'm just teasing ya... but some of the guys there are hotties!"
I just shook my head and laughed and met my mom downstairs.
"Hey good morning sweetie, I made cereal and I'm working extra so I won't be home until midnight."
"Alright, I love you!"
"Love you too, and have a good day girls!" My mother said as she left for work.
"So... hows the dad 'thing' going?" Val asked as she sat next to me.
"Good I guess, I mean we both know that he left me and my mom. The last time I had a conversation was on the phone 2 years ago. But he's doing well with his new family..."
"Yeah, I know I heard about that..."
"Well that's the past, we should get going here in a bit. I just need to get some homework done and my hair then we can leave!" I said as I put my dishes in the sink.

We walked to school, well more rode our skateboards to school.
When we finally made it we went to class, boring as usual but it was fine. All my grades are straight A's, so I'm doing fine, plus I get to hang out with Val everyday anyways. She pretty much lives with me, her mom is a flight attendant so she's constantly traveling.
When school ended Val and I dropped our things off at the apartment and climbed up the ladder to the rooftop.
As we did so we had a box of pizza with us, sometimes we like to sit a the edge and enjoy ourselves with the beautiful sights of New York City.
"Gosh... Antonio's Pizza is the best!" I said between bites
Val hummed in agreement
Silence took over, it wasn't long until we heard metal-clashing near by.
We looked at each other in confusion and quickly went to check out the noise.
We peeked our heads over the edge where a alley was, there we saw robots with.. brains inside their stomachs?
Also four strange like figures, after the battle between the two teams we heard them talk so we listened.
"Great work team!, the Mighty turtles strike again!"
"Really, Mighty turtles? What?!, Dancing Dorks were taken?"
Val laughed at the comment which I couldn't help but giggle myself, but that was soon interrupted by a yell from another dark figure.
"QUICK UP THERE!"
"Oh hell, run Val!" I screamed
We both got up and made a run for the exit, but we we're stopped by two .... ninja.... turtles!
Val and I slowly backed away from the two turtles wearing a purple and blue mask, but soon stop as we bumped our backs into two other turtles wearing a red and orange mask.
Wait... why does the turtle look familiar?... no way!
Before I could speak, he seemed to know me right away....
