"She's smiling, Doc. You fluttered her heart." bungisngis ni Engr. Reyes.
I looked at her. I saw a glimpse of smile on her face.
It made me half smile. "See? I'm the only man who can put that kind of smile on her face." buong kumpyansa kong sabi.
Binalik ko ang tingin ko kay Engr.Reyes na nang-aasar ang mga titig kay Christine. Tumikhim ako to get his attention. Sinensayasan ko siyang lumabas as our eyes met. He smirked before leaving.
"Don't ever talk to him when I'm not around." madiin kong sabi kay Christine.
"Kaibigan ko siya." she said.
"I know." tugon ko. "But how could be a man and woman be friends?" I asked.
Nagitla siya sa tanong ko but she grin. "Someone's jealous over my bestfriend." she stated while teasing.
Pinihit ko ang upuan niya para magkaharap kami. I leaned down closer to her. Eye to eye. Just a few inch in between and I can see her cheeks getting red. I can feel her abnormal breathing. She's nervous.
I smirked. "You won't like the idea of me getting jealous, babe." I whispered enough for her to hear me.
I leaned closer and closer. Just one move, I can taste her lips with mine. But she impressed me. She's looking into my eyes without any worry. As if she's giving me an access to claim her lips.
"I want to kiss you but I don't want to do it here. Knowing your bestfriend is peeking from the outside." I said.
Tumayo ako ng maayos at sinenyas sa kanya kung nasaan si Kristof na kanina pa nakasilip sa pinto.
In a que, I leaned again to kiss her on her forehead. I respect her a lot. She deserves better treatment.
"May pag-uusapan lang kami." paalam ko sa kanya bago lumabas ng opisina niya.
"O-okay." she said.
I saw Kristof comfortably sitting on the couch while playing his phone. I wanted to talk to him privately but I now, it will only get tension.
"Did I interupt the intimacy?" pang-aalaska niya in a funny way.
"No. You only ruined the moment." I answered.
Ibinulsa niya ang phone niya bago ako binalingan ng tingin. He's smirkin' again. "What moment?" he said full of interest.
I smirked for a second, but I coldy looked at him. "Cut that idea in your head." pagbabanta ko. He's thinking skill is really incompetent. He whistled. I sighed. "Adrian and Arc will accompany her tomorrow. I want you to go with them too." I said.
He got serious. "Bakit kailangan kasama ako?" tanong niya.
"'Cause I want to. The prey will tail them, you have to divert their attention." sagot ko. May kinuha ako sa suot kong lab gown at iniabot ito sa kanya. "Adrian will assist you." I added.
He looked puzzle. "I don't get the idea of being involved." wala sa sariling usal niya.
"We want her to keep safe. Kristof, I'm counting on you." I sincerely expressed my needy for him.
