The Daily Prophet Lucius Malfoy was holding burst into flames.
It was true.
The murmurs and rumors at the Ministry regarding Sirius Black being framed by Peter Pettigrew were finally brought to life and confirmed by the paper.
The trial date was set and that would be the confirmation everyone needed. He heard through the grapevine that Fudge had already believed it since Dumbledore had told him the story. But maybe just maybe the rest of them wouldn't believe it.
He couldn't believe the follower that was going to put everything together had landed himself in Azkaban and probably under tight control.
But that won't stop him.
Lucius concluded that he would have to do it himself.

The morning of the trial was finally here.
Sirius wore his best robes and Samantha almost did a double take. He had shaved and trimmed his hair a bit to just grace past his shoulders.
He was a new man and about to embark on a new journey.
Remus had indeed moved in as well and wore his best attire as well. Sirius gave him some money to buy new robes and Remus only took it when Sirius said that he missed out on numerous birthdays and Christmases.
Samantha wore a nice knee-length lavender dress with complimenting white lace and matching white sandals. She tied her hair into a side braid and grabbed her wand.
As she walked down the stairs, she saw Dumbledore talking to Sirius and Remus.
"Albus, I really don't understand why Harry can't come!" Sirius' voice rang throughout the house.
Samantha stood by Remus and watched with furrowed eyebrows. She was wondering that as well.
"Sirius, I don't think he should be under that kind of media exposure," Dumbledore responded. "This whole situation needs to be straightened out and I don't want Harry in the middle of it."
Samantha nodded in understanding. As much as she wanted Harry there and knew how much he wanted to come, she understood where Dumbledore was coming from. Harry could be a distraction and maybe Dumbledore wanted as much of an even playing field as he could get.
Dumbledore saw that Samantha was here and pressed his hands together. Sirius frowned in annoyance but brushed it off when he saw his favorite niece.
"Ready?" she asked him.
Sirius shrugged impassively. "As I'll ever be, I guess."
"Everything will be fine," Remus added, patting his friend on the shoulder. "Fudge heard the story, we just need actual approval." He then grabbed the Invisibility Cloak and handed it to Sirius. Samantha borrowed it from Harry since they didn't want Sirius atttratcing too much attention.
Dumbledore Apparated out of sight after giving them instructions. He wanted to get there first to make sure Peter was there and tied up, and for them to go the Muggle way since there were guests and need buttons.
