"Ms. Y/l/n, your 1pm interview is here."

Y/n lifted her glasses and pinched the bridge of her nose as she sighed to calm her nerves. She was a wreck. Why was it so hard to find an adequate financial manager for her company?! She had interviewed four other candidates and the only one who hadn't lied on their resume and seemed capable of meeting Y/n's standards, also came off as very capable of sneaking into her bedroom and breathing over her as she slept. She scrapped his resume as soon as he left which put her back at square one. She said a silent prayer that her next interviewee would be her last and she'd have a partner to build her business with.

She stood up and adjusted her skirt and blouse before, telling her assistant to send in the appointment.

"Please let him be as impressive in person as he is on paper." She mumbled.

She fixed a welcoming smile on her face as he entered her office, letting the door close behind him. y/n's left eyebrow raised out of intrigue. He was dangerously handsome and he hadn't even opened his mouth yet. A small smirk played on her lips as she scanned his body. The man was adorned in a well tailored suit that complimented his mocha complexion, perfectly. A fresh hair cut with the sharpest line up she'd ever seen on a man, made her bite her plum tinted lip. She'd always had a thing for a clean cut man. She inspected him from his Stacey Adams shoes to his alluring brown eyes, taking note of how soft his plump lips looked, on the way. It had been a long time since a man caught Y/n's eye and she liked what she saw, biting her lip as he stared at her questioningly.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Y/l/n. I'm Edward." He smiled as he walked towards her with an extended hand.

'Oooh he so fine I could cry. That SMILE!" She thought to herself as she returned a bright smile and took his hand.
"Edward, pleasure to meet you. Have a seat, get comfortable."
The man adjusted his suit jacket as he sat down in the leather chair in front of her desk. She followed suit, retrieving a copy of his resume from her desk drawer.
"So Edward, let's get right to it. It says here you attended FAMU, majoring in business and finance."
He nodded and unconsciously licked his lips, instantly making Y/n shift in her chair to contain her arousal. Y/n was trying her hardest to listen to him as he listed all of his qualifications but his mouth was so tantalizing and distracting. She could think of other things for him to do with it, instead of talk..
"I also single-handedly revived the infamous Denton&Hames corporation . Their lack of revenue sent them into a downward spiral... financially and... I turned it around....and helped them produce profit-I'm sorry Ms. Y/l/n are you ok? You're looking a little flushed." Edward frowned. Concern washed over his face.
Y/n quickly snapped out of her daze, straightening up in her chair.
"Oh yes, I'm fine. It's just uh...it's been a long day. I'm good though, please continue." She sputtered before smiling and sipping her bottle of water that set on her desk.
"I'm so sorry- how rude of me. Would you like a drink? Water? Tea?" Y/n offered as she stood up to go to her mini fridge. Edward's eyes were glued to her behind as she passed him. He hadn't seen her from that angle and damn did he like it. He cleared his throat and calmly lifted his left leg to rest it on his right, as she bent down in the fridge and grabbed another water for him. If he happened to turn into a puberty-stricken 16 -year old and gain an erection, it'd be less noticeable with his legs crossed.
Y/n noticed his subtle movements and smirked to herself. The switch in her bow hips was a bit more noticeable as she crossed the room to hand him his beverage, with a polite smile. Her eyes were far from polite though. They were lust-filled and envisioning what he looked like without the suit.
Edward reached up to take the bottle; making sure his hand gently grabbed hers as his fingers wrapped around the bottle. Edward's eyes scanned her body, letting his head tilt to the side to catch her backside once more before meeting her gaze. She sighed, pulling herself a little closer to reality before sitting in her chair again. She avoided his gaze, and raised his resume up as if to get a better look at it. She heard the man chuckle behind the paper which made her blush. It's been a long time since a man made her do that.
Y/n was what society considered a 'powerhouse'. She'd built a multi-million dollar business from the ground up and was flourishing at the age of 27. She intimidated men but for once, this man had her quivering.
Even if he was qualified, Lord knows I can't hire him. I'd lose my damn mind and maybe my business. She thought to herself. There was a devil and an angel sitting on her shoulders and they were going at it like nobody's business.
