(A/N: so I'm writing this chapter because I'm home alone- not a common occurrence for me- and I decided I should probably do something other than sing Ghost Train as loud as humanly possible without just being plain screaming.)
(Your POV)
For obvious reasons, I was pretty cheerful that morning. Stuart was, too, although I did briefly catch him with a sad look on his face. I decided against asking, not when he seemed perfectly normal moments later.
He made some breakfast for us (eggs and toast- simple, yet good), and we sat down to eat. As we ate, Noodle walked out to join us.
"(Y/N)-Chan! I didn't know you were still here!" she said cheerfully, getting some cereal for herself. "Yew didn't even ask me to make yew somethin'... Is my cooking 'at bad?" Stuart asked in a fake-dejected tone. "Hai,"(yes) Noodle responded. "I think it's good," I said, taking a bite of my eggs. Noodle turned to me and said in a serious tone, "he once gave the entire band food poisoning," prompting me to immediately spit out as much egg as I could. "Noodle, 'at was years ago!" he whined, as I continued to cough up my possibly salmonella infested breakfast. Noodle just handed me her bowl of cereal and made another for herself.
Later, after that "incident", during which I claimed I almost died and Stuart insisted the eggs were perfectly well-cooked, I received a call saying I had another article to write and it was due in the next two days. I groaned and said to 2D, "well, it looks like I'm going to have to go... At least, if I want to turn in something that doesn't have as many errors as a first grader's paper." He nodded in understanding and said, "yea, of course- yew drove here, right?" I nodded and went up to his room to get my phone since it was literally the only thing I had brought.
When I started looking for it, I couldn't help but notice Stuart's phone's notification tone going off. I ignored it at first, but when it played three times before I could pick up my own phone, I just had to look. Picking up his phone, I nearly dropped it upon seeing the contact name was "Paula Cracker".
(A/N: I know, it's overdone, but I never said I'm very original...)
His phone did have a password lock, so I couldn't see anything more than "3 new messages from Paula Cracker", but that was all I needed to make myself put the phone right back where I left it and go back downstairs with mine.
I said goodbye to Stuart and drove back home, trying not to think too much about Paula texting him. "It's nothing, he'll just ignore them... He hates her now, I know it, so why wouldn't he ignore her?" But because of the annoying way the human brain works, this was instantly followed by "then why are you thinking about it so much?"
(A/N: extra question- do you prefer 2D, Stu, or Stuart as the name used for him outside of dialogue? The rest are determined by which character is speaking, but I'm not sure to put for the rest of the time.)
