"Hey tiff!" Tiffani was my best friend from San Diego. I wasn't going to get to see her as often now that I moved.
"What's up London" She never called me anything but London. She's called me that since kindergarten
"Unpacking, how was your day"
"Same as everyday. How was your first day at art school?"
"Nerve racking but I already made some friends"
"Those girls better not try and take my place" Tiffani was a bit overprotective but I loved that about her.
"They're all dudes so I don't think you have to worry about that tiff"
"Ooh are they cute?"
"Yeah" I immediately thought of Jack.
"All of them? Do you have a favorite?"
"Yeah his name is Jack"
"He sounds cute"
"I haven't even told you what he looks like yet tiff"
"Okay then tell me"
"He has curly hair and brown eyes and a nose piercing, his ears are pierced too and his face is just perfect"
"What's his Instagram?"
"I don't know Tiffani I only just met him" I didn't tell her that he was my neighbor, she'd only come to LA to see him instead of me if I told her that.
"Ugh London now I'll ever know what he looks like"
"Dreamy"
"Well you can describe him all you want but that still doesn't tell me what his face looks like"
"I'll take a picture with him tomorrow"
"Or you could figure out where he lives and go over there right now."
"I'm not gonna do that, he'll think I'm weird"
"Fine I guess I'll wait until you start dating him then"
"Were not gonna date Tiffani"
"Why not"
"I just met him and he probably thinks I look like shrek or something"
"Shrek was hot"
"Nobody could love an ogre Tiffani" We both started laughing and I swear I heard a laugh from across the balcony.
"Hey tiff, I've gotta go but I swear I'll call tomorrow."
"Fine fine. You go do your ogre business and I'll just look at guys on Instagram"
"Sorry tiff"
We said goodbye and I hung up. I walked out into my balcony and saw Jack sitting on his. I immediately blushed and thought of what Tiffani and I had been saying. I hoped he hadn't
"That was a pretty cute conversation"
"You um weren't supposed to hear that"
"But I did, and I'm glad I did"
"Why so you can laugh about it?"
"No because I've only known you a day and it's good to know you like me too. I was afraid you wouldn't"
"Oh" I didn't really know what to say but I was dying on the inside because he had just said he liked me. I started to say something else but my dad had called me down for dinner. I told Jack I'd talk to him later and he said he would text me in an hour.
An hour later I went back to my room and noticed he has closed his balcony doors. I closed mine too. I left the window open though. I didn't look my phone because it hadn't buzzed so he hadn't texted me yet.
I felt like playing music for some reason. I had a white grand piano downstairs in the front room and a keyboard in my room. I also had a few guitars but I never really played them. One of them had been a gift from Tiffani on my birthday last year whenever I turned 17. It was black and had my initials engraved on them. I went over to the keyboard and started playing something random. I started singing a song and when I was done I heard clapping.
I looked over to see all of Jacks friends on his balcony. I blushed and opened my balcony door. I walked out and leaned against the railing. Jack took my hand and I slowly climbed over onto his. Our balconys faced each other but they weren't touching so it was kind of a stretch to get over it. He grabbed my waist and helped me onto his.
"That was amazing" - Zach
"My girl has many talents, I knew I picked the right one" That one was Jack if it wasn't already obvious
"You're better than I am" - Daniel
"Play something else" -Jonah
"I didn't know you played any instruments" Corbyn said and I smiled at him.
"Well I am going to an art school now"
"I know but I assumed you sung"
"Oh I do that too"
"Well obviously, we just heard the angels singing from your bedroom"
I blushed and we sat on the floor of Jacks room and talked. Zach suggested twenty questions so they could get to know me better.
