It was Monday morning and I was about to leave for the airport. I really didn't want to leave my friends but I had to go. My mom had gotten a job offer to work for a famous designer in Italy and we would be traveling to France often. I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I was so excited to go but I hated to leave everything behind. I took one last look at my empty bedroom and wiped away my tears. I had so many great memories with all my friends here.
Flashback
Brailey and I were sitting on my bed watching a scary movie. We were at a suspenseful part whenever my phone started ringing. We both screamed and dropped our popcorn everywhere. I answered it and it was just Zach
"What is wrong with you, you scared the living crap out of me"
"I wanted to call my beautiful girlfriend to tell her I was outside with pizza for her and her friend?"
"You're so sweet Zach, you have a key you can just let yourself in. We're in my room" I said and hung up. A few minutes later Daniel and Zach walked into my bedroom with pizza and Starbucks. We said thanks and scooted over so they'd have room too. We continued our movie and Zach and Daniel screamed louder than Brailey and I did. It was a great night. We spent hours just talking and messing around with each other.
End of flashback
My mom yelled my name and I picked up my backpack and unplugged my phone charger from the wall. I made sure I hadn't forgotten anything. I sniffled as I got in my car.
We arrived at the airport and I saw all of my friends waiting there for me. It was 6am why were any of them awake? I saw Grayson, Jack, Victoria,Merily,Nevaeh,Daniel,Corbyn,Aislyn, Brailey,Jonah and Zach. I smiled as I ran up to them and got engulfed in a big group hug. I was really going to miss this. We said our goodbyes and my mom told me we needed to go through security now.
Zach pulled me to the side and asked if he could talk to me. He cleared his throat and said the words I hoped he'd never say. "Amanda, I love you so much and I'm really going to miss you. I just don't think long distance is going to work out for us, I really don't want to break up but we both know long distance won't work for long. I'm so sorry amanda"
"No Zach, it's okay. We would've broken up sooner or later. You're completely right. Long distance wouldn't have worked for long. I love you Zach" I said and walked towards security. I felt tears in my eyes but I didn't turn back. This was for the best.
Victoria POV
So we were all at the airport saying goodbye to Amanda and it was awkward with Jonah there. To be honest, he looked completely miserable. He had dark bags under his eyes and you could tell he hadn't bothered to do anything to his hair. He was wearing baggy sweats and an old shirt. I felt so bad about the whole Shawn thing, I had to tell him. I had just gotten in Merilys car when my phone chimed. I forgot I had post notifications on for Jonah still.
