Ch 3- Zach comes home

I woke up this morning around 10am which is pretty early for me considering I normally sleep till noon.

I go downstairs and see that my dad had made egg and sausage biscuits, my personal fav.

We both chow down and then, you guessed it, continue unpacking boxes. 

we unpacked all of our clothes last night so all thats left to do it the kitchen ware and home decor.

We pretty much unpack and clean the whole day. 

I head over the the Herron's house around 7:30pm.

I cleaned up the kitchen for Myta while she got Zach's "Welcome Home" banner prepared to hang up after Reese and Ryan go to sleep.

Both of the kids are occupied so they won't see her making this banner.

After putting the dishes away I go upstairs and play dolls with Reese for 15 minutes.

By now its 8:30 and time for Reese to take a bath.

I run a warm bath and put pink bubble bath mix into the water. We play with her mermaid toys in the bath until the bath water starts to get cold!

Its now 9:15 and I read her a bedtime story as I brush her hair out and put it into 2 braids.

I sing her a lullaby and scratch her back until she falls asleep.

Its now 10pm and Myta and Mr. Herron are leaving to go get Zach in half an hour because the airport isn't very close and they want to pick him up some food first since he'll probably be starving. 

Ryan goes to bed shortly after they leave to go get Zach and I put up the banner right in the main entrance of the house. 

I texted my dad and made sure he knew I would be staying here pretty late.

Its now 12:30 and I'm just watching Netflix on the couch in the living room. 

I hear the garage door open and I get butterflies in my stomach for some reason.

Myta, Mr. Herron, and Zach quietly walk in the house. Zach sees the banner and his face lights up.

Zach is hot, Im not going to lie. But I could never date him since he's my neighbor and I haven't even said one word to him. Who knows, he could be a total jerk.

"y/n I would like for you to meet Zach our oldest son!!"

I introduce myself and he gives me a hug. "You must be the famous y/n that has become my little sister favorite person on the plant. Im kinda mad at you..."

My heart dropped when he said that. "Wh-Why?" I stammered.

"Because I used to be her favorite person!!!" he exclaimed.

What a relief, I thought he didn't like me ALREADY!!!

Zach and I sit down on the couch and start talking and getting to know each other. Its amazing how many things we have in common. 

Next thing we know its 2:30am and Zach and I are asleep on the couch.

Myta comes and gently wakes us up. "y/n, honey, do you want to just spend the night here?"

I nod my head, still only half awake.

"y/n you shouldn't have to sleep on the couch deer why don't you go into Reese's room and sleep with her!"

Reese had a queen sized bed so this would actually work out.

I'm still so tired and try to stand up but almost fall right back over onto the couch. 

I can hear Zach talking with full consciousness so I'm assuming he must have been away for a few minutes before me.

I feel him put his right arm under my left arm and around my back, his left arm scoops under my legs. He picks me up and carries me up the stairs into Reese's room!! What a gentlemen.

At this point I'm fully awake and we have this moment where we both look into each others eyes and smile. He puts me down right infront of Reese's room and we say goodnight. I slowly open the bedroom door, so not to make too much noise, and crawl into bed with Reese.

I fall sleep within a matter of seconds.
