Ch 12- Special Visitors

When I slowly wake up and realize where I am I get a pit in my stomach. Im in Zach's bed, we must have fallen asleep last night after talking things through.

I see that Zach is already up putting a clean shirt on. I look down and realize that my jeans are not on my legs, but on the ground in a pile along with Zach's shirt that he was wearing yesterday.

"Zach..." I say nervously. He finishes buttoning his black short sleeve shirt...and of course the sleeves are cuffed. He walks over to the bed and sits down right next to me.

"Good morning baby girl, how did you sleep?" He asks while stroking my hair. My legs are bare and he moves the sheet up to cover them, he looks back at me and smiles.

"Um I slept fine babe, quick question." I say pausing and looking at the clothes on the ground and then back up at him. "What did we do last night...?" 

Zach was quiet for a second and then finally seemed to understand what I was hinting at.

"Ohhh no no, we didn't have sex last night y/n. After you fell asleep I assumed it wouldn't be comfortable sleeping in your skinny jeans so I took them off. And I always sleep shirtless anyway. I promise you NOTHING happened." He says laughing.

"Ok, thank god." I say laughing with him. 

Last thing this relationship needs is for things to get complicated again!!

I grab my phone to text my dad immediately. I explain that I fell asleep and he says he understands. I'm so lucky my dad is chill and not all uptight like some parents. 

I put my pants back on and go to brush my teeth. After that, Zach and I walk downstairs to get some breakfast.

"Good morning guys!!" Myta says smiling. "Y/n, we ended up getting home much later then originally planned so when we saw that you fell asleep we decided not to wake you up."

"Oh that's perfectly fine, my dad didn't really care. How was the banquet?" I ask while sitting down at one of the bar stools before I begin eating some french toast.

"Oh it was wonderful sweetie. Your father gave a great speech. Did you know they are promoting your father and Mr. Herron to co-managers of their software development team? They will both be partners now!!" She says excitedly.

"No I didn't know that! Thats really cool, I bet they are both happy about that." I reply.

Mr. Herron walks into the kitchen and Myta looks at him with a big smile. They pause for a moment before Mr. Herron says "Zach we have a surprise for you..."

Zach looks at them and then at me, everyone is smiling with curiosity.

"Corbyn is flying down from New York!!" they say in unison.

Zach stands up right away, "WHAT?!?!" he says with uncontrollable excitement.

"Yup, him and his girlfriend Christina are flying to California to celebrate her birthday at Disneyland. He texted me asking if they could spend a day here on the way over to California!!" Myta exclaims. 

"Corbyn and Christina will be staying in our guest bedroom downstairs tonight, they have to leave tomorrow at 7:30 to make it to their flight by 8:45. We are leaving to pick them up in 15 minutes!" Mr. Herron adds.

I'm so happy for Zach, I've heard him talk about how much he misses the guys since they are all taking a break to be with their families for the summer after their most recent tour. I know that we'll have a great time together the four of us today. 

After a 25 minute drive to the airport on this traffic-free Tuesday late morning, we arrive at the airport.

Zach and I hop out of the car when we see Corbyn and Christina standing with their suitcases and Corbyn's guitar. 

I give Christina a hug "It's so nice to meet you!!" I say excitedly.

I then give Corbyn a hug too, "So great to finally meet you. Zach can't seem to shut up about you whenever we get the chance to talk!" He says looking at Zach and laughing.

The trunk opens up and Corbyn puts his and Christina's suitcase in. The car ride back is spent with Zach and Corbyn catching up an Christina and I getting to know each other.

When we arrive back at Zach's house I run next-door to my place to pick up Rosie so she can go to the bathroom and meet our visitors since she's been in her cage since this morning when my dad left for work.

"Awww puppy!!" Christina squeals picking up Rosie and showering her with kisses.

"This is Rosie, she was my 16th birthday present from Yours truly..." I say pointing to Zach.

He smiles and obviously feels pretty proud of himself for getting such a great gift.

Corbyn grabs their bags and we all head inside.

We hang out and relax and then finally decide go on a double date.

"Theres a bowling alley right down the road from us" Zach suggests. 

"Sounds good to me. What do you think, ladies?" Corbyn asks looking at Christina and I.

We both nod and smile, "That's perfect" we both say.

After bowling, we decide to grab a bite to eat at an actually restaurant...not the nasty chicken tenders and gross pizza from the bowling alley food court.

When date night finally comes to an end, we all go back to Zach's house and now it's about 9:30.

Corbyn and Christina take a shower and end up going to bed within an hour or so, they must have been so exhausted from the plane ride earlier.

Zach and I cuddle and watch a movie for a little bit until I start to get sleepy. I know that I have to go back over to my own house tonight since Rosie is here on the couch with us and all her puppy gear is over at my place. Also it wouldn't be that great of an idea to sleep in Zach's bed 2 nights in a row, because who knows what might happen this time.

I slowly force myself to stand up. I pick up my peaceful sleeping puppy and say goodnight to Zach.

Today was a good day.

A/N- I know this chapter is much more relaxed and calm, but that's because after almost breaking up...realistically there wouldn't be drama at all this soon after. Hope you guys like it so far!!
