2 months later...Tuesday
Zach's POV:
Yesterday we picked up my mom and Reese, along with Y/n's mom and her little sister Marley from the airport. They will be joining us at the baby shower on Friday!!
At 6:00 am I hear Y/n's alarm go off bright and early, she's been getting up early the past few days so that she can have time to prepare everything for this baby shower.
Even though Ally and Christina are helping us a ton, she still has a lot to get done.
Her nesting and crave to organize hasn't helped either, I spent a good 5 minutes trying to find the protein powder after my run because she has rearranged our entire kitchen.
Y/n hops in the shower and that's my cue to head downstairs to start breakfast, if her day starts early so does mine.
"That smells AMAZING!!" she exclaims walking into the kitchen with her wet hair in a messy bun.
She piles 5 pancakes onto her plate and completely covers them with strawberries.
"Delicious babe, thank you." Y/n says.
I begin to pour her a glass of orange juice, "You're welcome, gotta keep my girls fed!" I reply.
We have about an hour before our 4 guests begin to wake up, so we take this time that we have alone to sit on the couch sipping coffee while we finish our breakfast.
"Ok, so today's to-do list," she starts. "I need to: get the cupcake recipe from my friend Anna, take the helium tank to be refilled, confirm on whether or not a few more people are coming, stop by the bakery and show the baker my design for the cake, I also need to call Christina and make sure that everything I asked her to do is under control. Oh and don't even get me started on the nursery, we barely have anything done in there besides the painted walls." Y/n sighs.
"There's so much to get done, and such little time!! What if she is a preemie, and we don't even have the changing table built!" She says frantically.
"Y/n, I hate seeing you stressed." I kiss the top of her head. "Just take a deep breath, tell me what I can do."
"Well, it would be helpful if you could get the cupcake recipe...oh never mind you don't even know Anna. Maybe you could take the helium tank to be refilled, actually, it's right on the way to the bakery it would be so pointless for you to make an extra trip. I don't know babe," She shakes her head.
"Let me start on the nursery!!" I say excitedly.
"Are you sure you can pick out things that will go with our theme and I will for sure like?" she asks me doubtfully.
"Ok what if I bring my mom, would that make you feel better?"
"Yes it would" she laughs a little.
Our alone time ends when Reese comes down the stairs and goes straight for the stack of pancakes sitting on the counter.
Around noon, my mom and I head out to Toys R Us, Target, Hobby Lobby, and a few other stores on the hunt for nursery furniture/decor. I have a list of things we need, including the crib and changing table that we ordered a week ago and need to be picked up.
I have pretty good taste in fashion, but all I can say is thank god I have my mom with me because I would be picking all the wrong things!!
Friday...
Our typical morning routine continues except our family joined us for breakfast.
"Ok, today we are going to make this day as simple and stress-free as possible, Y/n." my mom says.
