Ch 42- Revealing the news

3 months later...

Zach's POV:

Y/n is almost 4 months pregnant and is showing just a little bit. 

We have a plan and Ally and Christina are in on it since they already know we are pregnant. We are planning on revealing it to the guys this Saturday when Mary and Jess have a small break from college. 

Friday before the reveal...

Corbyn has been acting extremely weird around Y/n and I. Y/n noticed it too and asked Christina if she told Corbyn that we are having a baby, she said that she hasn't.

"Hey bro, can I ask you something like without you getting mad at me for asking?" Corbyn says when I'm chilling in the kitchen.

"Yeah, of course, man."

"Is Y/n pregnant?" Corbyn questions doubtfully.

I put my drink down and my face gets straight. "Um, what makes you think that?" 

"Her stomach looks oddly round and I'm not about to call her fat, I'm just wondering" he responds laughing.

I nod my head, "Yeah, she's pregnant. But please don't tell anyone, we plan on revealing it to everyone tomorrow." 

"Ayyyye congrats bro!!! You're gonna be a dad!!" 

"Thanks, Corbyn. I know it's crazy right?" 

"How did you guys keep this secret for so long?"

"Well, we didn't want to tell anyone because this isn't our first time being pregnant." I pause, Corbyn's smile fades. "2 years ago Y/n was pregnant but we lost the baby right before Christmas."

I start to tear up thinking about the tragedy again. 

"Oh I'm so sorry Zach, I didn't mean to pry." he responds apologetically.

"It's ok, we've moved past it and going through that together brought us so much closer."

Corbyn promises to keep it a secret and act surprised when we tell the rest of the guys tomorrow. 

Saturday

Mary and Jess arrived a few hours ago and we've all been relaxing at the house. 

Y/n and I have looked at just about every pregnancy-reveal in the books and finally decided on a simple yet fun one.

"Hey guys, can we get a group photo? It's been such a long time since we were all together." Christina asks, going along with the plan perfectly.

We all stand with the 5 girls next to each other, and their boyfriends behind them. The other guys wrap their arms around the girls so we can have a perfect couples/friendship photo.

Ally sets off the timer for 10 seconds and runs back to her spot. I slide my hands down to be on Y/n's stomach.

Once we see the camera tick down to 3 seconds. I quickly say "everyone says 'Y/n's pregnant!!"

They immediately start shouting and going crazy, the camera snaps a photo.

"Nooo, way!!!!" Daniel exclaims.

Y/n and I smile uncontrollably.

"Wait, I don't get it," Jack says looking confused.

We all laugh, "Jack, I'm pregnant'!!" she says.

"Ohhh...OH MY GOD," he shouts giving her a huge bear hug.

They all congratulate us and we begin to eat the delicious chocolate cake that I picked up earlier. All Y/n has been craving is chocolate.

"How far along are you?" Jonah asks.

"4 months" we reply.

"Do you know the gender?" Daniel questions.

"No, we want to wait a little bit longer," I say putting my arm around Y/n.

"Have you told your family yet?" 

"Well, we are actually flying back to Dallas in 2 weeks to tell everyone. So you guys are the first to know!!" 

"Ok, so we shouldn't post on social media about it?" 

"Yeah if you guys could keep this on the down-low until we get to tell our family that would be much appreciated" Y/n replies laughing.

Ally and Chistina run into the other room and come back with 2 presents. They hand me one and hand the other to Y/n.

"Awwww guys you didn't have to do this!!" Y/n says smiling.

My present is a black shirt with white writing, it says "Does this shirt make me look like a dad?"

Y/n's shirt says "Does this shirt make me look pregnant?" with the same font.

They also gave us both mugs that say Mama Bear and Papa Bear.

"Thank you guys sooo, this is so thoughtful." we say hugging them.

Shortly after opening the gifts, Daniel and Ally bring up that they would make perfect god-parents for the baby. But of course, it started a huge argument because Corbyn and Christina thought THEY would make the perfect god-parents, along with Jack and Mary, and Jonah and Jess.

"Ok, ok guys!! We will figure that out once we get closer to my due-date."  Y/n says cutting off the banter before it gets too serious.

"Oh speaking of, when is your due date?" Jack asks.

"The baby is due February 7th!" 

We talk more about how exciting it will be to have a little one join our big mismatched family.
