"Nushki, listen to me!" Virat follows Anushka into the bedroom, where she takes out a suitcase and starts violently throwing her clothes from the cupboard.
"No! Everyday I've been here and the only thing you're on about is the India Australia match!" She says, not stopping. "Let me leave, you'll concentrate better."
"Nush, I said it wasn't the right time to be here, this series is pretty important!" Virat says, fed up.
"More important than your girlfriend?" She asks, coming closer to Virat. "Tell me Vee, more important than me?!"
"Yes!" He finally screams out, leaving her speechless.
"Fine, have fun." She says, zipping up her suitcase. "We're over, don't bother contacting me." She walks out of the room, Virat following her.
"Anushka, I'm sorry. Please give me a chance!" Virat says, running over in front of the door, effectively preventing her from leaving.
"This isn't the first time, Vee. I'm sorry but cricket matches go on forever! You're never there for the important moments at all. Please let me go." Anushka says, tears running down her face.
Virat with a defeated look on his face, moves away from the door.
"Thank you." She says and pulling her suitcase behind her, leaves the flat.
Virat closes the door and slides down, crying.
Anushka goes outside where her friend, Katrina is waiting with her car. She puts the suitcase in the trunk and sits in the passenger seat. Katrina drives away, with Anushka looking back until the flat couldn't be seen any more, with tears streaming down her face. She doesn't bother with wiping them, because it hurts.
But she knows it's the right thing to do.
