Pihu's POV
Evening
We hadn't spoken to each other in a week.
After I had confessed, he hadn't said anything. He just dropped me home and drove away before I had gone in. With that, I knew.
I wouldn't be anything more than a friend to him.
No phone calls, no messages. It was like he had disappeared of the face of the earth. Only he hadn't. Because every time I switched on the TV, he was there. With Anushka or just playing cricket. Guess he really didn't see me that way.
Roshan was coming back tomorrow, which meant that today was my last day. The media were also aware of this, following Anushka around more than me. I was in my house, packing away the last of my clothes.
Chanchal was standing at the door, looking at me.
"Shouldn't you go and talk to him? Try to understand what he's feeling?"
"Chanchal, it's over." I said, looking at her. "He hasn't called, nor messaged. Whatever messages I've sent, he hasn't replied to any of that and in fact, he's blocked me. If that isn't a clear indication of 'get out of my life', I don't know what is."
"Shh, it's all be okay." She sat next to me on the bed when she saw a few tears run down my cheek. I wiped them away but it seemed that I was hell bent on crying.
"How will I move on?" I sobbed, hugging her.
"You will, just wait." She promised, rubbing my back.
Anushka's POV
Morning
"Hey, baby." I sat next to him sleeping, looking at him.
He didn't wake up, only turned the other way. Expected, honestly.
His phone was buzzing on the table, making me pick it up and look. There were quite a few messages coming from Pihu and one from Rohit which just stated that practise was cancelled for today.
Awesome, now he can spend some time with me.
I unlocked his phone and went to the messages and looked at what Pihu had to say. I remembered her as his coworker and the person that helped him out of his depressive stage. Wonder what she had to write now.
Pihu😊
Vee, I'm so sorry
Pihu😊
Vee, please reply back to me, I'm so sorry. It wasn't fair to you or to anyone that I just dumped it on you. I'm so so sorry.
Pihu😊
Vee?
Pihu😊
Fine, maybe you're sleeping or having practise right now.
Pihu😊
Please call me or message me back, I really need to talk to you. Today's my last day, please.
Pihu😊
Come to the office, okay? We'll talk.
Pihu😊
I love you
What?
I scrolled up previous messages. Everyday, she had written something but always followed by an 'I love you'. Virat hadn't answered, only seen the messages.
Who was this girl?
Was she the reason why Virat wasn't paying attention to me, anymore?
As I wondered this, I saw him moving. I hurriedly blocked the number and kept the phone where it was and went out to the living room, sitting down on the sofa.
What if he had the same feelings towards her?
He couldn't have, could he? I mean he was in love with me!
Wasn't he?
