"What?" I asked again.
"I know!" She said, turning back to look at her computer. "He was so interested in planning the date!"
"Oh my God." I panicked. "Do you have any idea on what he's going to do?" I asked.
"None." She replied. "Besides, finally you guys can bond!"
"Oh no no no." I tutted. "Knowing him, he's going to do something else."
Oh how right I was.
He made us take a hike. A bloody hike!
"Virat, I don't know what I've done but didn't you think you were supposed to inform me on what you were planning?" I asked, huffing as we reached the summit.
"I thought you could keep up with anything?" He smirked as he looked back, enjoyment clear in his eyes.
"Yaar, no. Just no." I said.
"Look around, dummy." He said as I looked up.
"Wow." I gasped, looking at the scenario. The sun was just setting and the orange hue spread all around, making the scene just seem ethereal.
"This is unreal, I don't even feel mad about climbing all those rocks." I said, looking around. "My boots are so ruined."
"Ha." Virat said. "Well, you'll regret it once we have to climb down the entire thing."
"I genuinely don't like you, anymore."
"So, what's with you?" I asked, sitting on one of the rocks. We had decided to sit on the top for some time because my foot was killing me. So, I had taken off my boots and was now just relaxing my foot.
And it had never ever felt so good.
"What do you mean?" He asked, looking at me.
"I mean, what's your deal? You aren't the killjoy that you seemed to be before." I shrugged.
"What, you don't read the news?" He chuckled.
"Haven't been in the country much." I shrugged. "I can't follow the media, sorry." I bowed my head.
"Where were you?" He asked, curiously.
"Nosy bee, aren't you?" I laughed. "I was in Washington DC, Adidas sent me."
"Wow, that's impressive!"
"Yah." I pulled the word. "Want to tell me what happened?"
"Nah." He said, getting up. "Come on, I'll give you a piggy back ride down the track." He said, holding out his hand to me.
"So, no more killjoy?" I asked, holding his hand to get up.
"You're okay."
